3 Stars is HARDER than 5 Star Settings in PES5 Demo. PLEASE EXPLAIN!

Okay! After pulling my hair out, throwing things around with the 3 star setting, I finally decided to play PES5 demo with 5 star setting and after a few matches, it's seems much easier. WOHOOO! I can score more goals, even with corner kicks, free kicks and so on. Plus, on 1-1 situation with the goalkeeper, I can score beautiful goals unlike a 3 star setting.

Can someone please explain to me how 3 stars can be harder than 5 stars?? Is it because:

(1) Konami made an error and swicthed the difficulty settings around
(2) They switched it on purpose so that we become good when the game comes out
(3) Others

With 3 stars, It so hard to get the ball, score, control it and a lot of fouls are called when we tackle, get the ball and none is given when the CPU tackles. Plus in a 3 star setting 3 to 4 players close you down unlike a 5 star setting.

To me, I think the 5 star setting is a 3 star setting and vice versa.

LOL, i find the same and after playing PES4 for AGES, i notice something about the AI technique, to keep the games close, the AI starts off weak. til you score a goal, then you need to hold them off for a couple of minutes, past the pressure then it becomes easy again, then just repeat, dont keep trying to attack when you score a goal... try and keep it defensive and tight at the back.

I think its probably because with 5* you have had to adapt quicker, work harder at mastering the controls and what works/doesnt work and so it seems easier once you get the hang of it.

3 harder than 5

i have got the same thing.
playig at 5* is easier than 3*, and i agree with the theory with the mistake, what would be the point otherwise??

I kinda found it easier too but the AI is a lot sharper in front of goal. You have to work harder when it has the ball. Maybe because 5* AI is more attack orientated, so it leaves more space at the back.

The reason I beleive that 5* may be harder than 3* is that on 3* you go out to try and win the game whereas on 5* on the demo you dont want to lose, therefore you become more equiped to the defence and albe to stop the CPU. But when you play the game on 5* (not the demo) you will go out and try and when the games and thus making it easy again.

Actually, you have a point there. When playing on a higher difficulty, I do have my gaurd up a bit more and wont take as many risks i.e. bringing a man forward to help support the attack.

I have found the same thing. On 3* I have difficulty scoring. On 5* I regularly do. However, this may be partly because on 5* I'm more worried about losing possession so pass it around a lot more and play more patiently than on 3* where I'm often trying to play quickly instead of methodically and therefore lose possession stupidly.
