I really can't believe how the number of online players has grown since the game came out. I wonder if there's any way of knowing whether that's individual gamers or just multiple IDs being used.

Any one have a clue?

Its up to 37000+ people online now. And i very much doubt there's a way of telling the difference between multiple tags or individuals. However, since you get higher up the ladder the more games you win, why would people use multiple tags? They might as well just stick with one and leave it at that. Otherwise, they'd just start back down at amateur with less wins, no points etc.

I'm pretty sure that there was a mad rush to get online when the game first came out. Whilst everyone was learning the differences between 4 & 5 their online records would have been fairly poor. So I'm sure some have scrubbed their initial tag - reregistered and are building up better stats!
