im a 360 player cant comment on ps3 since ive never played one but i can say price shouldnt come into it as at shopto.com where ive preorder PES you can get one for £300 and an xbox for £200.£100 difference isnt much, especially since i paid £300 for my box when i got it.......

i'd actually go as far to say your a complete fucking moron.

games will be better because of blu-ray ROFLMAO, ps3 has all the best games.. hahahahah ....what are you 10yrs old?

sheeeet if there was stand-up comedy for nerds you'd be the chris rock of the genre.

its common knowledge the PS3 doesn't currently have one stand out game you that can't play on the 360.

btw just because you type FACT it doesn't help your cause, especially when you're a clueless tard like yourself talking out of your ass.

back to the OP if you're interested in playing games i don't really see any point in paying quite alot more cash for a PS3 when there's currently nothing decent on it + their live service might be free but it's just as well because it sucks. oooooh we're getting Home (wow a glorified Second Life on your console yipppeee). I'm not fanboy i've still got an Xbox and PSX/PS2 and my Xbox360 but the PS3 is a total flop right now and anyone who thinks different is trying to justify their £400+ doorstop.

That's just rude and dont call the PS3 a flop because you dont like it because a lot of people like it, it totally depends on gamer preference, i paid £400 for the console, 3 games and extra controller and i love it and dont get me wrong i like the 360, i almost considered getting one before the PS3 came out, Halo is easily one of my favourite games, but anyway back to the post if its what you're used to and like and can afford it get the PS3 cos it's ace and the games can only improve as its just started really.

i think all the tools saying stuff like shitbox 360 and thinking its hilarious has finally gotten to him thats all.i just dont take tit heads opinions seriously, but sadly some peeps get frustrated by them.id have a ps3 but xbox for me is the better choice at the moment for sure,VT3 has online,~G~OW,Bioshock.i may consider getting a ps3 if there even cheaper when MGS is out but i aint buying one for one game so i hope they get some other exclusives.

That's good news for me because no way would I want to pay over 400 quid for a ps3 but now they are releasing a 40gb version, this will bring the price down a bit.

How much will Sony be selling ps3s for now if they sold a 40gb version with 2 wireless controllers, 2 games and a HDMI cable. ????? .

Well, I don't own any, so I can give you a prospective customer view. Xbox 360 is an alright console. Now the red lights thing seems to be solved, and it has a lot of games, nice online service, etc etc. Besides, it's cheaper, so you can't go wrong with it.

PS3, on the other hand, is a monster. 7 cores? Phew. It was designed to still be recent well into the next decade, so I think you could not go wrong with this one either. Of course, we never know the twist and turns of the gaming market.

I think it's mostly about what games you will be playing. Either way, you're going to miss some juicy titles. There's also the lasting factor in the PS3, while Microsoft will be surely releasing another console in a few years, so you have to take that into account.

But with the Xbox 360 it is not obligatory to buy all the stuff that makes it an equal to the PS3's price range. You can, people like to choose. If you don't want to play online, don't buy a headset and a subscription etc.

I would still say get both if you can, or buy the one with the best games, present & future releases.

The new 40gb PS3 wont have backwards compatibility with PS2 games, way to go fucking sony.......

for online experience you would buy a 360.
but overall & considering whats to come you would buy a ps3.

if you are tight on cash then thats obvious.

Plenty of good online games for PS3 like Resistance, Warhawk, Motorstorm. But not enough games overall though.

Here is my 2 pennys worth, Im no fan boy, this is just my opinion...

At the moment, they are both much of a muchness. The 360 and the PS3 are both fantastic and I have played the both and own a PS3.

However, for the future, I would definately go for a PS3, I have heard people saying online is better on 360, come next year, I believe opinions will change when people find "home" on PS3. I have the PS3 and have been far from disappointed, the browsing of the internet is superb and the games are sublime. My friend has a 360 and it is also very good, but I do believe the PS3 is slightly more powerful and for graphics and gameplay it edges it.

As for pricing, they are actually very similar. In PS3, you buy the lot in one. Microsoft have been clever making it look a lot cheaper, but there isnt a lot in it. Once you have bought all the accesories such as wireless adaptor, live subscription. It all adds up near the PS3, where you get it all for around £400.

Both consoles have their titles, 360 - Halo, PS3 - Metal gear solid. I am a huge footy game fan and have always loved them on the PlayStation.

Whichever you choose, you won't be disappointed as both are great, but future proof, my verdict is the PlayStation 3. :)

EDIT: I have a HDMI cable for my PS3 and whoa, does it make a difference! If you choose the PS3, I urge you to get one ;)
