A few issues I'v got with PES 2011

A truly stunning retort ... I do as it happens play Saturday league football but it seems to have little to do with my legtimate critiquing PES2011.

If you don't like the content of this thread then goo read another one.

No I understand constructive criticism, and i've added my own thoughts on numerous threads, both good and bad, but my point is, few people on these forums are failing to mention the improvements and its almost like their standards are so high they'll never be pleased, Konmai got this one right in my opinion, it isn't perfect but its positive.

People will be reading these thinking this game sounds absolutely awful, which just isn't the case, I for one think it is the biggest improvement by a long way since 2008, IGN gave it a 9, Gamespot gave it an 8, that speaks for itself as gamespot gave last years a 6.5 for crying out loud, and if your looking for the 'perfect football simulation' well if football in real life, on television, and pes or fifa isn't good enough for you then... what?

I totally understand criticism, and my comment was meant to be taken light-heartedly, but I think it's important to balance out the good and the bad, if you simply reject the game as a whole because of some flaws then you'll never be satisfied.

I meant *many people are failing to mention the improvements my bad.

When you pay £40 every year for a game that steadily goes backwards - In my opinion and that of other sage PES lovers - you have a right to grumble, yes it might sound like we have high expectations but then PES used to be a quality product on the PS2, for some reason when they began to migrate the game to the PS3 they got rid of everything that worked in its favour (i.e responsive and variable AI)

I know what you mean, i dunno i kind of feel like they may have reached a point where they have to sacrifice some things in order to keep it modern and new at this point using the same system they always have.

Like if they were to totally eradicate every possible flaw they would need to work from absolute scratch, which, while it feels to me like the biggest change in pes by a long way, its still based on the same formula they've been using for years, so I really don't know.

The defending is just plain awful, its like the bad old days of PES5's dinked through balls, one style of play against daft CPU assisted defending.

Defenders that run away from the ball or break into an interception animation when nowhere near the ball is not what I want when I shell out £40 for PES.

Konami need to start watching more football and understand player movements when defending as well as the cultural differences in the defending from region to region.
