A Goal but not a Goal

On another occasion again in a previous pes I had a goal ruled out for offside..."directly from a corner kick!!

As the original question was answered I decided to answer this one as well:

If the ball goes from corner kick into the net without being touched by anyone of either team it's like putting the ball behind the line, so it wasn't ruled a Offside but a goal kick

Reason is that in general a corner kick is announced as indirect free kick by the referee by raising his arm :blush:

A corner kick isnt an indirect free kick. Its a direct one. If u remember there are a lot of goals in the history that became directly from a corner kick.
Without watching the video of that scene, as there isnt offside in a corner kick, it could happened this things:
the ball goes outside the pitch and inside before be a goal;
it was a foul by any of the players that were waiting for head the ball before be a goal;
one of the attacking players dive before be a goal.

Scoring direct from a corner is legit and has been done many times in real life and given each time. Infact iirc didnt Roberto Carlos score direct from a corner for Brazil?

So did Dejan Stankovic for Inter which curled into the the far corner without any touches

You cannot be offside directly from a Corner. If the ball was played short and then back to the player by the Corner flag, if the defence had pushed up then he could be offside.

I think I known why it was an indirect one. The opponent was diving all the time, thinking it was funny. Though I can't find if diving results in an indirect free kick, it is a good possibility, right?

If you where playing online then that explains it really, iv often had balls go out of play and not be given as a goal kick or corner. If you where offline it seems to me like the keeper stopped trying to save it so maybe someone was offside, even shooting from that distance can be blown for offside.

I think it was online, I rarely play offline matches.

maybe it's your bad luck mate..
i already scored many many goals from an indirect freekick (from the distance more or less like the one in the video) and it's counted!!! ref say's it's goal, the player and the fans are celebrating, and than it's continue with opponents kick off!! maybe it's just an error on your BD.. or whether the error actually is in my BD?

Well, if the keeper or a defender hits the ball before it goes in, it does count. But if the ball goes in without anybody (beside the taker off course) touches it, it should not count..

Just check the ref .. look at his arms if his left arm is up so it's indirect free kick
and everyone knows what is indirect free kick .. just check the ref man ..

yeah. i scored indirect freekick many times before.
but i'm not using round button manually, instead i change my cursor to a player in front of goal looking for a header goal. but the ball doesn't touch any player and the ball goes in instead. and it's count as a goal for a player who takes the freekick!
