For ProEvo on the PS3, when you press L2 and any of the buttons (triangle, circle, cross and square), what are these actually for and do they make a difference? Does anyone actually use them?

In the formation settings screen you can define what these do... can't remember which option exactly but it's one of them ;)

They are things such as Counter Attack, Offside Trap etc.

If used correctly they can be effective, I guess - but personally I've been playing for 10 years and never used them and I seem to do just fine.

As far as I'm aware they can be pretty effective...but playing the game for countless installments and I've never used them and got on just fine.

Worth giving them a bash though ;)
