Hi. I am a new member and i want to comment on something i have noticed at your site and at Evo-Web too(mostly there). You must realise that all people who visit this site and try to patch or edit a game, do not have the same computing/PC/Internet/software knowledge that most of you do. Additionally, many people do not speak English fluently and it is not easy to understand a guide, no matter how simple this guide may seems to you. Also, some people may not have enough free time to sit and search for a guide and convert an option file to cue/bin so please try to make them and upload them for us. This is not lazyness. Of course there are people who can do it but they are bored... But we are not all of us just a bunch of lazy people OK? I am saying that because i have noticed that many times, somebody asks a question and receives answers like 'We have said that a million times', 'Search the forum for an answer to your question' or some answers that a guy with limited knowledge can not figure out what to do. I am not saying that for all of you, because many of you are really helpful. But some are not. When i first entered the forum i did not know what a bin/cue file was, let alone max drive and xport. So, be patient with all new users. So i have some questions, that may sound stupid, but they are not to me. Every answer will be welcomed.

1. What is a kit?? In simple words. What it does? I have heard of kits that exist in the original game, kits that exist in a patch and even kits that come alone and you can put them in a game, patched or not.

2. How can i import an option file into a DVD image? I have been searching the forum the whole day for that and i only foun two nonanswered threads... I do no want to tell me how to convert my option files to bin/cue or anythin like that. I want to know how i can take an option file from your site and import it to my patched PES4 image... If there is a link, please tell me where, because i have been trying to find such a guide the whole day...

3. Is there a greek teams patch?

4. Which are generally considered to be tha best patch-option files?? All subjective answers will be taken into consideration...

1. A kit is the thing that the players wears to play football. Also known as a uniform or strip.

2. Well if you are referring to the Max Drive or X-Port option files, then of course first they will need to be converted in some way. So if you don't want to be told how to do that, I can't help.

4. Best patch is dependent upon your needs. For me it is the All 92 Teams British Patch. For option files the PESFan option files are the best.

Seems quite clear. It's also a sticky thread which means it's stays at the top of the first page of the Editing section.

All Important Editing & Patching Threads+Guides - also a useful thread.
If something is not explained in a simple enough way, simply ask in that thread and someone will be able to help. Asking silly questions and repeating them often results in the "Search" answers. By explaining what exactly is the problem with something and where something isn't understood, someone will explain it to you.

Also, some people may not have enough free time to sit and search for a guide and convert an option file to cue/bin so please try to make them and upload them for us. This is not lazyness.

Sorry but that IS lazyness. Too many people expect things to be handed to them on a plate. Everyone started learning something at some point in order to become good or knowledgable at it. If people don't make an effort they shouldn't expect others to do it for them.

1. I'd like to ask how much of a football fan someone is if they do not know what a kit is? Mind if I ask which national football league you follow?
To answer your question you could have just gone to the kits section of the download area and seen what is posted - to know that the kit templates there represent football kits requires minimal footballing knowledge.


2. No you can't just import an option file. Unless you can find the appropriate version of the splm file for that file and try it that way. The reason there are no answers for this is because nobody does it that way and there are far easier ways. Which are the ones you have heard about - involving max drive, x-port and cd2mem - but do not want to try.

Most of the guides are written by english speakers for english speakers. If you have any lack of english knowledge, then there will surely be someone that can be found that can translate it for you, even if it is the babelfish site?

When I was 13 I played the french version of the Amiga game Another World and didn't understand some of the game text. I wrote it down and asked my french teacher to translate. Using a bit of initiative can help. Some people find it easy to expect everything to be handed to them without making an effort. If people make a little effort they will see how rewarding the results can be.


4. If you tell us which game you mean it would be a lot easier to answer you. How do I know if you're asking for the PS2 version of WE8 or the PC version of PES4 or the xbox version of WE8:I??

First of all, i read somewhere a post where someone was asking how he can begin a new thread.... Understand that. Some people have little knowledge of internet and computers. You suggest me two threads above, both of which i also found myself, but both of them are COMPLETELY irrelevant with what i am looking for. The first thread is about putting my option files to a cd and trasmporting them to my PC. I found out how to make bin/cue files... I didn;t ask anything about that. I was talking generally

1. Although my english are relatively good, i have never heard of the word kit. In Greece its calle 'emfaniseis'... Have you ever heard our word?? I thought that you would be able to figure out that since i am asking for a greek patch, i am obviously from Greece...


2. You made me wrong. I have already used this ways, but i want to import the option file directly into the game because that way when I want to edit a player I can find him with the team he's playing for. When you don't do that and only use an OF you always have to search. Got it? As i told you, i understand english relatively good, but others don't... And it is not that simple as taking the guides to their english teachers, because the guides use vocabulary which is directly associated with some programs that the teacher profoundly does not know... So it will be quite difficult for her to explain something like that.

4. I clearly referred tha game PES4 somewhere in my post and i was talking about bin/cue files, so i am asking about PES4 for PS2.

By the way, i foun tha answer in how to import an option file directly into the game.

So now you know the answer of how to import the option file. And you have decided not to share this information with anyone else. Well done - you are really a big help to the PES community.


From your insulting posts, it's not difficult to see why you do not always receive the answers you are looking for. Learn some manners.

You may not like to see things logically but in future it may be in your best interests to just PM someone who is greek and just ask them to explain things to you. I'm sure polakis would be very happy to help you.


And if you have some time, do point out any part of any of the guides I have written that are too technical and difficult for you to understand and I will try to improve them.

How on earth can you even question whether Zygalski has any personal problems with you. He doesn't even know you personally. His post was simply speaking in a general sense regarding the issues raised in your posts. You then took it upon yourself to insult Zygalski personally despite his clear willingness to provide help despite the fact he feels you are being lazy, which I have to agree with. As you have already pointed out, you found the answer to your Option File problem, and therefore proving that you can indeed find answers yourself.

And in referrence to people not following the English guides, there are many foreign fan sites out there where the information is no doubt translated. This is an English Fansite, and although many of our readers are indeed from the rest of Europe, and even Asia, the primary content of this site will be English. We of course try to make everything as simple as possible, in the interests of making the site as accessible as possible to everyone, but there is only so much simple language can be used when it comes to something as technical as patching a video game.

Someone asked how to open a thread. I assume someone else answered the question. Why is that an issue for you? All forums work in virtually the same way so to blame this forum for that is out of order. There is also a guide I have written which tries to explain much of how to use the forum including how to open threads. It's in the Testing section, if you would care to take the time to look.


Please do post links to people who can not follow the guides I have written. If their question was already answered by someone else or by simply looking at the editing threads sticky then it does not count.
And I would love to see how helpful you would be (not that you are in any way helpful to anyone right now) once you've answered the same question over 20 times and it gets asked again.


And what you perceive as aggression from me is not that but simple honesty. You expect too much to be handed to you and cannot even be bothered to answer the simple question that you found the answer for yourself. Go out and take a look in the real world, see how much you get for free.

Must comment that I read this thread carefully and with a lot of interest. My first impression, after reading the 1st post, was that Hitman and Zyg are going to crucify him (well mostly Hitman Zyg is too kind :innocent. BTW you can sense the self-importance of this guy just by the title: A Message to All Admins, Mods, and Old Memebers. Huh? It was very pretentious, IMO. Surprisingly, the answers were polite and helpful. And then was this guy's 2nd post. What the hell. When someone is welcomed into your house with muddy boots, you don't go stomping on the living room carpet. Even if you do find the hosts (btw owner and no. 1 admin of this site) reply aggressive, which it wasn't, you have to keep in mind that you are that guest with them muddy boots. So can it. Put a sock in it. Shut the fuck up and don't reply with your condescending attitude of "I deserve it all". I still can't believe that St. Zyg was kind enough to ask you what part of his guides needed clearing up.

You now what guys? You still don't get it... I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT MYSELF!!! I understand English language quite good and i have adequate knowledge to understand your guides and practice them. I didn't ask you to explain something to me... Did I?? Except from tha meaning of the word Kit... All my other questions had nothing to do with understanding something. The whole thing came up when i was trying to find a specific guide, and i found in the forum, 3 posts from 3 different people, all of them trying to find the same guide and nobody had answered to them...
