just read the review in xbox live mag they say that and i quote 'Like i drifting midfielder the new FIFA outing has gravitated towards PES way of thinking, and actualy plays like konamis lauded footy sim' AI is better and will match your every move and tackling requires presision and technique, when players run they run at diffrent speeds every time, not just the same top speed sprint, so u never know how fast a player can go. also the commentary motson will comment on past events like if henry scored in the last match he will make refrences to it.

Pierluigi Collina: (International Friendlies) is on fifa 2005 too!?!!

he was on fifa2004 so i don't see why he wouldn't be on 2005, also they may have stadiums for all the lower league teams, cos in the mag it made a refrence to southends stadium, could be wrong tho

that seems good i suppose but i hope the game is not like fifa 2004! I hope it has improved. Good to see collina on the game as an Unlockable feature.

u mean these are unlockable in fifa? i presume if i start a season with man utd i will be able to play night matches without it un-locked, also if i make transfers on fifa and i go online and play against someone who hasn;t got the the same transfers as me how will we play online together? will it be who ever hosts uses there options/line-ups etc.

Few things i have read ont he soccergaming forums, No referee is visible on screen, seems strange, either they forgot or they did it on purpose, also the career mode initially you have to start with a lower league side, the concept is to start and the bottom and work your way up which i don't mind, There is a create player mode - NO EDIT PLAYER - unlockable items such as balls etc, create your own tournament like making the Champs League, Real boots, Addidas etc. When it rains the players can actualy slip and fall over - excellent feature, when making a career mode u can get offers from clubs from abroad for jobs, All transfers seem pretty much 100% Rooney at Utd etc, the main thing that has been improved is the gameplay so if u don't like the fact about starting with a lower league club in career remember the gameplay is alot better - CPU also use wings more and play the od amazing long-thru ball into the box - even on amateur! also don't forget the power bar in the thru ball.

btw: i haven't actualy got it yet, this is from people who have got it, i will have the game by tonight.

yeah thing is i don't have to patch fifa they do all that for ya :D
So can you explain why there are always loads of gameplay patches released for fifa games?

There is a fifa2005 Vs PES4 "review" in today's Sun newspaper. It finishes as a draw. I'll scan it tonight if anyone is gagging to see it. Meanwhile, the review isn't on their site but it does have:

FOOTBALL CRAZY

FOOTIE fans are in for a real treat this winter as PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER 4 (above) has gameplay and graphics that look sharper than its frontman Thierry Henry. Released for PS2 on October 15, it also comes to Xbox for the first time in November… along with online play.

What a result!

So EA's FIFA 2005 could be on the losing side again, even though the vastly improved on-the-field skills come much closer to matching PES's accuracy.

Being a football manager isn't easy - just ask Sven - but if you think you can handle the stresses and strains, boot up that PC.

Can we try to keep this thread about reviews and comparisons of both games from now on.

i've played fifa at my houseretailer and it felt crap!!
to me it felt like the players where running thru a meter thick pool of shit, like they just dont have any intention of running.

yes graphic wise ot looks sharp, but then again i played for 1/2 hour, but after words i felt anoyed, coz of the fact that it feels like the players put super glue on their shoes.

fifa gameplay is WAY WAY overrated!!!!!

idid not play pes4 yet so i cant say anything sensible about it, but i can tell you pes3 feels 1000% better then fifa!!!

i honestly played it open minded, but it was just to anoying i went a way from my retailer and felt like i my self was walking like the fifa players did

I've played Fifa 2005 and it's better than the 2004 edition but not by far as good as WE8 (I haven't played PES4 yet). The graphics of Fifa 2005 are imo not as good as they are in PES4. The faces of the players in Fifa do look nice, but their heads never look like a part of their bodies.... Their faces look like they are sike. Like they have a skinproblem.... Strange. I think that the WE8 graphics are better than the Fifa 2005 graphics. And I've heard that the graphics on PES4 are better than the WE8 version.

For the gameplay it's even more easy..... There is no way, not in a hundred years that Fifa 2005 can get near PES4. I even dare to say that the first PES on the PS2 has better gameplay than Fifa 2005. Fifa is better than it's previous versions, but still not by far a match for PES.... Comparing isn't far, because the difference is to big. Fifa still feels very scripted, no total freedom. That's just not right in a soccer game...

This is standard, Fifa has always the better grapics and sound, and PES has the better gameplay. So his review doesnt suprise me, because it was always like this. Personly i like realistic gameplay, grapics and sounds arent realy that important for me, but i can understand why neewbies will choose for Fifa 2005, its easier and it looks better. Good review, but nothing new. I'm only qurious about Xbox Live.

Good point there. I dont understand that to. I looks very weird.

yeah sure zyg everyone is diffrent so therfore they prefer diffrent styles of gameplay, i would make one for pes3 if i could, and btw...u tell your players to run on fifa, they will still do it but if they don't just hit the button and they will run.

btw no-one is saying fifa is better than pes/we theres no argument there that pes/we is better gameplay wise
