A question

In pes 2010 there seemed to be this crap system where it was very hard to defend crosses coming into the box, my mate when i play him always just crosses the ball in for an easy header.

I myself like to play a passing game through the middle of the park, it frustrates the hell out of me losing to such ugly football by him.

In pes 2011, do you think that konami will have fixed this, or am i just wrong in thinking that it is an actual flaw in pes 2010.

Cheers

I totally agree with you there. The crossing system sucks to its core. It gives unrealistic look to the game when used more than often and is a very easy way for even mid-level players to exploit the opposition's defence like cake. But I think with the whole new 360 degree system and all, it won't be as easy as it was before.
What I really hated about PES2010 was that players, when running fast, on or off the ball, seem to be on some kindda other planet with less gravitational force ! especially when there is a contact. The pitch seems always slippery. pass speed is so high you can't build up the way you want. I hope this is also fixed by higher degree of freedom in the new game and the option to slow down game play.
Cheers!

i just think u dont know how to defend..

Tell us what the trick is then? I find this the most difficult part of PES to come to terms with. I converted over to PES2010 from FIFA10 and love PES, but I still struggle to defend the cross often (is there some way to nudge the attacker or is it all about when to jump?).

I am so frikken excited about PES2011 - happy days ahead!

Are you the same guy from the fifa forum who keeps giving me grief ?, if i am wrong i am sorry.

I have tried multiple ways to try and defend crosses with barely much success, if you have a proven method would you care to share them please ?

Sounds like a case of "double tap". I think what your mate is doing is getting into a crossing position, and double tapping the cross button to get the quick whipped in ball!

You can either tap the defensive header or clearance button (A on Xbox, of X on PS3) OR like someone said mark his wide men and force him to play through the middle!

I have a mate who likes to do the same thing over and over on FIFA and I have clicked onto it but its harder to defend on that as he is in on goal and presses something to make the ball go in the corner and my GK can never evvvveerrrrrrrrr... get it! CHEATING REALLY just so he wins :S

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the help , it's greatly appreciated. Hopefully on pes 2011 this won't be such an issue. To be honest my mate only plays with the likes of man city or barcelona or chelsea, it's difficult when your playing against fast players messi, wright philips ect. This is the reason he uses the wings , he just has not got the brain to actually play through the middle.

I myself find it difficult to use wing play, as i prefer to play a nice passing type of game.

Thanks again.
