seeing as pro evo 08 is on the verge of being in our hands after an anxious wait, i wanted to make a thread in tribute to our older pro evo/iss memories.
it was pro evo 3 that converted me to the greatness that is seabass, when i first played it i was like holy shit this is amazing....(this after hacking about on the disgrace that was FIFA 04). The realism and the unpedictability that was the beautiful game was captured in this konami gem. It was the first game that actually had me trying to figure out tactics whilst i wasnt even at home playing...(actually the other konami masterpiece Metal Gear Solid had me in the same outer mindframe).
I didnt care about fake names for teams and players, it was all about the gameplay, the skills that worked even under great pressure..(for good players) and the great feeling of scoring against an opponent that had me on the ropes for the entire match. i spent hours in the great training modes honing my skills, and i in my own mind became quite a veteran at the game. this in my opinion was..(out of all the pro evos i have owned and played) was the most complete. As a youngster though ISS pro was amazing but this took the cake for me.
anyway i just wanted to look back and pay tribute to a great game....hopefully pro evo 08 can return me to the amazement that was the 3rd edition, which pro evo 6 didnt.
