well, to be fair, i have no idea how a pro edits. it just sounds good!
heres what i do to get ultra convincing logos and badges for pes4. dannyboy20 is clearly the main man in this department but this is a way for you to consider.
first, get a picture of the logo/badge you wanna create from whatever source you require. save it as a bitmap (.bmp) and then open microsoft paint.
open the pic in paint, then click image on the toolbar. click attributes. ensure the units are pixels and not inches or cms. lets say for example the values are width 64 and height 60.
the size of a logo edit square is 32 pixels by 32 pixels so you now need to divide 3200 by 64 and then 3200 by 60. this will give you numbers you will need. (50 and 53)
now close the attributes and click stretch and skew. in the horizontal box enter 50 and vertical enter 53. this will shrink the pic down to the perfect size.
next, click view and zoom. choose custom and enlarge to 800%. also turn on the grid. now you can either print screen or work from your monitor. there you have it! this is your guide for your design.
for badges its the same thing but is a lot more difficult to draw due to the multitude of colours involved. ive done lots of logos this way and its a lot easier than you might think, not to mention very convincing.
sorry theres no pics like dannyboy20 does but im afraid i dont know how to put them into a thread, not yet at least. maybe you all do this anyway, or never would, i just thought id write it up for anyone who feels overawed by the prospect of editing well.
