In PES 4 I hope they make the fouls more crunchy and maybe a player will cry out when hit. Just a slight muffle. Complete satisfaction. Yes I am bored of PES 3 now and the only satisfaction I get is playing human vs human, anyone agree?

Indeed, after a while the game offers little when playing against the computer opponents. You complete your first Master League on the hardest settings, then do it again giving yourself transfer limits, then do it again with only the default team, and then there isn't much else to it.

Still, I still find it occasionally challenging. Try starting a league as a weak-ish team against all the best teams in the game, on 5* of course. Might expand longevity.

But yeah, I spend more time updating the game and sorting things out to perfection (kits, attributes, appearances, transfers) than I do playing it. It's still good practice to play as weak teams against good COM teams, so as to hone your skills when it comes to playing your mates.

I agree. Ive done everything there is to do in PES3 and am just killing time for PES4. As you said, however, playing against friends is still as good as ever.

And yes there should be some better tackles and fouls. How about obstructions, aerial clash of heads, and diving as well (lets have a dive button) so you can get either the opponent or yourself in trouble depending on how the dive is seen by the ref.

Nifty's option file sounds interesting. Did you add any new teams or just updated the default ones as much as possible? (Too bad you don't have an X-Port so we can't check it out too )

I had a go on WE7:IJ today after a few weeks of only PES3. WE7:IJ is so much nicer to play and there are extra player animations which can be easily missed if you aren't concentrating. It's a different enough game for me anyways. Much harder and more rewarding game.

Hmm, without wanting to sound like a masochist, I too would like to see the increase in occurance of injuries, even if if only it increased by (pulls random number out of air) 5%.

If you want diving, go play FIFA, or better yet, watch the replay of Porto v ManUtd

Yeah, that Ruud bloke does dive a hell of a lot.

My option file has a few new teams added over some other ones. Most of the editing was done at the beginning of the season, so I foolishly added Wolves in ('cause of their internationals). The list, in no particular order, is:

VfB Stuttgart - edited over Sparta Prague
Middlesbrough - edited over West Ham
Southampton - edited over Olympiakos
Portsmouth - edited over WE United
AC Siena - edited over Panathinaikos
Wolves - edited over PES United

I seem to believe there's someone else, but I can't for the life of me remember who. Basically, I edited over most of the teams from minnow countries, in order to accommodate more teams from the "big" leagues. Plus, now I have 16 English clubs to use in a Premier League. I think Wolves and Leeds will be edited over by Mallorca and either Sevilla or Sampdoria in the near future.

And yeah, all the teams are up-to-date as well, with transfers etc. In fact, I was doing it today. What with the illness stopping me from going to college 'n' all.

the only good time to use the dive button on a PES if they include it would be against a mate.. coz u can give it to them when u get awarded the winning penalty on a dive.. but still.. i don't think it should be there.. maybe a novelty option that u can buy from the shop a la the double speed match

I was bored of PES2 and PES3 at this time of the year but I stil have fun playing mates, especially if they are as good as, or better than me.
