Addicted to the Fix

I have been addicted to pro evo since its creation but i have recently found a new more addictive way of playing it i had not previously been aware of. I discovered the fix mode(on player settings menu, alowing control of single player) a while back but until i combined it with the player cam unlocked from the pro evo shop i had not realised its potential. I have created a player and stuck him in the arsenal squad and am living out my dreams playing in the premiership with the gooners! Stressful and annoying at first learning to wait for the ball and not run round like a headless chicken loosing vital stamina, the sheer satisfaction when you score a goal is like no other scoring experience on pro evo! And with the added player development on the master league your career begins here! You will find yourself looking at players ratings after matches judgeing your every performance. Can some of you have a go and see if its just me who is finding this so great, i will giv you a few pointers tho to save the hassle i went through at first:

1. holding R2 calls for the ball from a teamate, this is vital because they can be selfish!

2. You need to use the radar to stay onside, its tricky at first!

3. Your stamina will drop rapidly if you follow the ball everywhere, wait for it! its worth it!

4. When you get the ball hold R2 to turn to goal, sounds unecesary but its easy to loose track of your direction on player cam!

5. You can play in any position including goalkeeper but start from the front, as there is less team responsibilty and you will get caught out everytime playing centre half!

ENJOY! and leave some feedback of how you get on!

(I wonder if this would work online, 21 online players, each one player! possibilities are endless!)

How do you do this again? Don't you have to hold down a button on the Player Settings menu? Which button?

Pause the game, goto the Player Settings. Then press L1 (or is it L2) until the bars in middle change to "FIX". Then it asks you what player you want as the fixed player. (or you have to press 'select player' or something like that.

I tried in training but only match practice is a realistic help. Ive learnt the key (when playing upfront) is the timing of your runs and when you press R2. Runs from wide positions and off the shoulder of the centreback can put you clean through, as when you go past two stars dribbling round the defenders becomes difficult!

Ive just scored my first hat trick on three stars during my pre season, thinking of taking a step up for the next season! scary!

yup, Libero Grande sounds about right.., not sure on the spelling. Capcom are releasing a new version of that game for the Xbox 360 call "Love Football" (which is atleast the japanese-english translation for it).

Look it up. It's looking quite flat at the moment, but i'm thinking this is going to be capcoms first outing for the 360 so they probably will try and make something of it.

I done the fix thing with Ronaldinho, but I used "Normal Long" view - I scored 4 goals and got myself sent-off (on purpose to see what would happen). What happened was that I was out of the game and had to change to another player.

It's a wicked option. I think I'm gonna create myself and add me to either Arsenal or England.

BRILLIANT

yeah, it was Libero Grande 1 & 2 for ps.
Wasn't bad, a pretty good novelty game although way too easy.

Love Football will be made by Namco unless the development has changed hands.
Looking at the screens, it's got the look of their other footy game Football Kingdom with some of the presentation.

I happened to play it not so long ago (Libero Grande 2 this was)... its really great, i loved the names, David Sheman, David Bickham, Owin fansastic.

Are any of you playing using the player cam? ...its really difficult, im finding it really hard to keep possesion.

Also have any of you tried playing as the goal keeper? ... its quite hard, but it can be very boring waiting around for someone to have a shot at you, but i love the decisions you have to make like if you should come out for a cross, if you should play keeper sweeper and run to clear the loose ball or just let your defense deal with it. It really does add a whole new dimension to PES.

player cam is the most realistic way to play in fix mode. Its so hard at first but when you adapt your style of play you can score some great looking goals!

Just tried it, and it's great.

Especially on corners, you can position yourself right and call for the ball. Then.... Goal!

Fool-Proof!
