If Konami had made a decent football game then less people would choose the strongest teams.
If the game would more true to the real life attributes of the players then it would be more playable and give users more incentive to choose teams of lower stature therefore making it a more competitive game.
I am not an Inter fan but I choose them because of the power and pace of Adriano as well as David Suazo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
PES 2008 has too many glitches and poor game. Not many people would invest the time in learning how to player with teams that have average players because there is little reward and a hell of frustration in trying to play effective football with an average team.
I would like to play with average teams and beat good players but this is almost impossible. If a team doesn’t have a couple of fast forwards then it’s frustrating trying to bring the ball towards your opponent’s goal.
The computer controller players on your tend to hide behind the opposition, this reduce your passing options and increase the time it takes to form a good attack.
With players like Adriano and David Suazo, you can simply get the ball and run up the pitch then slam the ball at the goal. Most times the you will score or get a corner because of the insane goal keeping skills that all keepers have on PES 2008.
The get ball, run at goal without passing strategy is not much fun but I doubt PES 2008 was made with fun in mind.
It was probably made as torture device targeted at the PES faithful, maybe Shingo Takatsuka doesn’t like football anymore.
