Sorry Pal. Guess the seemingly "radical" best formation in the world of doesnt sit well with most. It doesn't looks good enough on paper for many.
I suppose I can only keep it to myself rather then share it with everyone in here. Cheers mates :)

No offense intended, TheSpecial-1. We are here to share and learn.
Could you please post your formation again with a bit more details? I am curious to have a second look at it again. I noticed you have two formations, one with 3 CBs, and another with 2CBs and DM! I assume the second is more offensive one.

Elaborate more on this Please.

I beg your pardon?
Nice to see the old thread still going and a few familiar names in here. I've been gone for a while, perfecting my game, and working of course. Just round wor lasses house, gonna stick a DVD on after she's done the washing up so I won't be on for long, but I will be back with a few bits and bobs over the coming months, I've got my flat sorted, broadband to come soon. And of course with the pending release of PES5 a huge update will no doubt be needed on the thread so there is some more work for me!

It's quality that people have come to post their formations, I haven't seen the template used yet mind....
I have loads to come, I just need to sit and do them one day, don't get as much spare time now as I used to, and I'm spending as much time on Gran turismo 4 as I do on the PES these days. I spend the same care setting my cars up as my teams so you can imagine how much fun I've been having. Spreadsheet of settings on the way, but that's another story.

Anyway, I'm off to browse the site for a bit and try to catch up with a few people, but I'll see you around. Take care pet.

P.s, thanks for asking for me to come back fellas, I feel all warm inside, brings a tear to the eye. Why aye.

What effect do backward pointing attack arrows have whilst your team is in possession of the ball?

"What effect do backward pointing attack arrows have whilst your team is in possession of the ball?"

increases percentage of back pass connection?

It makes the striker drop off to help the creative process, like Bergkamp, Rooney, Henry, Cantona and so on.

It's also useful to drag defenders away for OMF's to run in. Or for a powerful striker to head the ball into his midfield from a long kick.

Depends on how and with whom you use it.

----------------------------------------------

As far as my new formations go, my fave is...... How could I choose? I like a variation of a 3-5-2, with the option for 3-4-3 and 3-3-4. But it generally breaks down like this, first team in my 2013 ML.

GK Schmeichel

Baresi - Rijkaard - Vandenborre

Beckenbauer

Macmanaman - Cantona - Nedved - Giggs

Fowler - jMz/Stoichkov

(Some) Subs
4 of my mates (for playing against them).
Pagliuca
Di Canio
Zola
Ronaldo
Pele
Cruyff

Fuck me I can't remember.....
I'll do a proper picture soon, and I'm sad enough to compile a databse on my team!! Or I could just get a max drive and start uploading the formations and teams and options files and stuff. Watch this space.

formation

hi,

firstly i just want to say thanx to jmz for posting his formations up, he seems to be the only one who posts his formation/stategies on the internet in a way people can understand. Anyway i think it would be a really good idea and very helpful if you [jmz] would post ure newest formations as a file to download or on this website. I then could upload them onto my ps2 through my xport.

I beg your pardon?
You don't want much do you???
Did you not read my last post? I don't have a Maxdrive, and I don't have a lot of time these days to sit and tinker with the PC so you'll have to wait like the rest I'm afraid.
Thanks for the praise, but flattery gets you nowhere if I can tell you're after something....! Actually thats a lie, cos it just depends on how good your flattery is, we all know I'm a big head.

If I get some time, I'll try and post a few of my recent formations and see if they work for anyone else.

I've never been off track son, just not been on this site!
My knowledge is even more extensive now as far as PES4 is concerned, I've played at least a game a day since it came out, and mostly I'll have 3 or 4 fifteen min matches in one session so practise is at a premium.
There is probably nothing left to teach that I haven't put on this thread already, yet people are still asking for help...
My advice is to read through every word I've typed on here, then if you are still stuck, practise, practise, practise.
I do plan on putting up some more formations, but I'd just be repeating myself with tiny changes, and maybe just an extension of some of the things I've spoke of already.
Anyway, questions, questions. Let them roll, mind I'll ignore them if the answer is already on here.

Have u got WE8:LE? Would you be able to give me some details on your best PES4 formation or give me some changes that i could make to your first ever formation from PES3( i think it is a 3-3-1-3) so that i could improve it for PES4 and WE8:LE?

Most of the confusion caused from trying to define the roles of Middlefield will end by the time WE9 with its new positions comes out. The two new positions, Wing Back instead of side back (for side backs who move forward to wing position), and Forward Back instead of Offensive Middlefield (For OM whom join in on the action in the penalty area).

In the mean time, I am playing WE8: LE masterleague mode in 6 stars. I purchased 7 Korean players aged below 23 with Cavenaghi, Sneider, Kaabi, Heitinga. AFterwards I noticed that all my MF players have the Center Middlefield position so I switched to 4-4-2C and arranged Middlefield into 4-4-2-b, two close to each other and around the center area, the other two spread wide in the front Middlefield. The result? They are running everywhere from top to bottom, front to back. They go back and tackle, go to the side and cross. They also go forward and score. And by the way, watching Kaabi play CMF in Front/Left Middlefield position is a beauty to behold. He tackles, passes, crosses and scores.

SMFs don't run top to bottom, nor do DMF join offence or OMF join defence.

If you have players whom are rated higher than 70 in offence and defense, spread them around middlefield and select CMF role for them and position them according to their special abilities. This is the best formation for a young above average team playing 6 stars in the Master league. Give me a week and I'll tell you how they fair afetr they grow to their peek.

Luay, all that is already in the thread mate.

Pro Pimp, I don't know what you want tweaking mate, you are just asking how can I make it better, but you don't say for what, do you want it to be more offensive/defensive, more free or more regimented, improved centre or wings, I don't get what you want from it, to tell you what to change.

Maybe try levelling the forwards out into a straight line to counter offside problems with the lone striker, but to be honest it's designed for a specific style so changes would make it a new formation on it's own if you know what I mean.
Figure out which elements of it aren't working for you, then I'll see what you can do with it to fit it to your style. It does still work in PES4 mind, most of my formations from PES3 work even better in 4 because you have more freedom when it comes to passing and moving.

Also Pimpmeister, you ask for details of my newest PES4 formation, it's on this thread a few posts ago, there is no image but that's cos I haven't had time to do one.

Do you people actually read what's on here before posting or what??!! I hate repeating myself. Nee sweat like lads, don't cry, I'm not really kicking off.
