So he is in WE9??? What are his stats like ---are they better than Owens? And what about Baptistas stats---please tell me they're better than his stats were in WE8?

Robbinho stats are good. he is fast, extremely talanted with very good technique.
Baptistas is good as well. I dont know his previous stats, but he is decent in this version.

in pes 4 baptista doent look like he has the best stats but when u play wiyh him he is good.

Arrows for CMF's/DMF's for defense..

Hey Observer and/or anyone else...how much of an impact do the attacking arrows have on CMF's and DMF's? And also how would a CMF and DMF work with side arrows to repel wing attacks? Does this work well? Thanks.

I only have the demo. But I found out that PES5 is actually very attack oriented, like previous versions. At first it seemed defensive - which would have been neat.

I played on 5 star, AC Milan vs AC Milan, both on average form.

Usually I either win 1-0, draw 0-0 or 1-1, or maybe lose 1-0.

I decided to try a different formation. A very attacking 3-4-3. One DM, one CM, two AMs, and three forwards.

Result? in a 15 minute half, I had 15 shots, and won 4-0.

EDIT: I just tried a 3-3-4 with Real Madrid on the PES5 demo. 5 stars, both sides average form. I scored 6 goals in 15 minutes! Had 29 shots in 15 minutes.

I did give up 2 goals, but both were from silly mistakes that I wouldn't have made if I tried to be more focused on defense

That R2 after square to shoot is very useful. Zidane scored two outside the box with that side foot.

I hope now that PES5 is out we will see the great return of JMZ with some awesome PES5 formations because I still use some of his old ones but they aint good enough in PES5!

i had exactly the same problem...but i changed the formation to 3-4-3 with rhomb in the center and it makes a huge difference..(it has two 3-4-3 with rhomb in the centre..i use the one wich has a cm instead of a dm.)

the offence may be very strong but the problem lies with the defence.The defence at the both wings are very weak.Besides that, i find that it is really difficult to get many goals in 10 minutes n 5 stars game,how can the others score 6-9 goals in the game??The most i can get is 4 goals,i really wonder how they did it...

this is the formation i use for Italy,gilardino is the CF,Totti is the OM,Cassano is the RM.The offence is quite ok,but dun expect to get 4 or 5 goals,usually i win the game with 1-0 or 2-0 in 5 stars,10 minutes game.The defence in this formation should not have any big problem.

Thats the Liverpool formation i am using in the league which i am not doing very well in, Its only good against strong teams with a good midfield like chelsea, man u, and arsenal i have beaten them everytime but against teams like West Ham, Wigan and Sunderland ive lost

Help with Chelsea Team

Hi JmZ, i know that you are well known in this site as a master of tactician, and can you help me with Chelsea formation? Even though i dislike Chelsea in real life;since im a Man Utd fans, but i found out that Chelsea has better player than any other team. Usually i played in wing style but i found out i am lack of strategy to use my tactic in full potential. I need it for the upcoming tournament held in my place. I hope that you can give me some advice or a formation in image format. Thank you in advance...

Thought i'd bring this thread back to post Pro Evo 5 FORMATIONS!!

Against the AI i think you need a attacking formation and need to play adefensive midfielder. I've realised the AI alwasy manage to sneak through a through ball somehow and always get behind my defence. Hre's my man utd formation that work fairly well against the AI

I know it's a bit weird but i strongly favour the left wing and Saha and fletcher frop of to the right wings at times. It's a good formation which scores alot of goals.
