Advice for a player considering coming back to PES

Advice please guys as after reading reviews and the terrible game that was FIFA 16 I’m considering coming back to PES this year.

I was a FIFA player 1994-1998 then switched to PES 1998-2010 but then went back to FIFA.

I only ever play online seasons in FIFA using my team Ipswich (don’t bother with ultimate team or anything like that) and never play offline.

Questions

i) Is there an equivalent of online seasons in PES where you just use your own team and get promoted / relegated in worldwide leagues ? I hear about master league but am not bothered about signing players etc..
ii) Would the team I use online (Ipswich) change throughout the season depending on real transfers or stay as a default team ?
iii) How easy is it to update the edits now for proper team names and kits ? Last time I did this in 2009 I bought a file off ebay I think ?!?
iv) Can you take edits online or would I be playing with East Anglia Town ? (or whatever Ipswich are called on it !)
v) Not sure what the player base is for PES but can you sometimes struggle to get a game ? Never a problem with FIFA as there’s that many players !

Cheers in advance

i) There is online divisions, yes.
ii) Yes, live transfer updates.
iii) Easy.
iv) Yes.
v) Not sure on that one. I do know that FIFA online is much stronger in terms of connectivity etc. I see people complaining about unbearable lag in PES online matches every year. That's not to say you don't experience that in FIFA, but it's something you'd just have to test out and see for yourself, I guess.

I think you kinda answered your own question there buddy.

If you never play offline .....then PES is not for you. PES does not have a strong enough community for online players. There is only a few that play PES online ....maybe 60 to 70 players ....maybe.

There is a horrible 2 second button lag during ALL online games......and thats when you can find an opponent. Pairing can take up to 15min.

So there you have it. The rest of the questions ...simple.
You will need an Option File ...period as most teams have fake names. Transfers and updated team rosters are far and in between.

Last of all ....do some research. You will find that owning both games will give you a better understanding of each game. Both have its ups and down. If you love football....both will be fun...in someway.
