Advise on long range shooting?

Hi, just wondering if you guys can help. i've been watching all the wonderful goals all you people have scored. But for some reason i cant seem to score goals anything enar as good as them. Just wondering apart from shoot are there any other buttons that should be pressed when having a long range shot? Cheers hope you can help!

Well a special trick i learnt is lay it back to the guy you wana shoot wiv from bout 30 yards and let the power bar go 2 half way. Sorry that this might not b much help but i hope it makes a small difference

Well some advice from fluke88 is when in there half no matter were you are keep hold of R1 and put bar quite a bit up not too much though and when trying thatyou can just hit it when it is rolling but do that when the ball is bobeling aswell.

well firstly make sure the player is not static otherwise it is very improbable that the shot will come out strongly. apart from that look if the keeper is off his line. i score loads of long shots just by watching the radar

not realy i seen one scored with a player and his shooting stat was 69

well like soliquay said watch when the keeper is off his line i scored like 10 half way line lobs. wen ur just past the half way line put the bar to full ( wen keeper is off line) I score loads with kluivert like this

oh and i forgot to mention something else. if you want the shot to be kind of lobbed like, try hitting the [] twice. don't tap it though. a shot with a double [] is always a form of a lob but not one with very high gradient, just a high shot. train a bit and you'll know what i mean

Let's say you have just crossed midfield and your player is facing straight at the goal for instance. Depending on wether he is left or right footed move him diagonally up or down and shoot allowing the bar to fill at least 3 quarters or more. If you get the power just right it will almost always beat the keeper, which by this time are always near the edge of the box. Also if you have the chance to do it, instead of moving the player diagonally, 'push' the ball forward diagonally using R2 while running and then youll have a more comfortable shot.

can't he just double tap R1? if he uses the R2 then probably he'll loose the ball because it'll move a lot further

If your near the halfway line and u make a tackle on someone(The ball rolls forward) hold down square al the way, the keeper will be off his line, because his team, just had the ball.

He could. But the other one looks better. It just has to be timed accurately.

Can't you just take the shot and hope it comes of sweetly?? I've done that loads of times with Gascoigne, Lampard and even Robert Huth from the edge of the centre circle!

just practice mate, an soliloquay is right use the radar to check the keepers position.
