Think you're getting PES and CM mixed up there. Players don't age or retire in PES3. If they did, the game would constantly need to generate new fake young players to replace the retired players

players age in ML in PES3, altho the option can be turned off i believe. its a more realistic twist and encourages youth development. it also means younger players can take the reigns from the zidanes, figos, and bergkamps of the game. (if you have created him) david bentley could rise to prominance as dennis bergkamp steps down. or sinima-pongolle can become liverpool's other target man as people realise emile heskey is shite/harry kewell is better in the hole/vlad smicer is getting on. aaron lennon of leeds, chopra of newcastle, quaresma of Barca, portillo of real madrid, burke and hughes of rangers(altho hughes is proving his worth this season, kind of), craig beattie and shaun maloney at celtic. lets face it, youth development is a good thing. its almost like forshadowing.
