is there possible to get an 80+ agility starting stat with either CF,SS or AMF player?..

..i think i got it once, but whatever height/weight ratio i try now, the maximum agility i got was 76..and i'd like to get it at least 80..

..so if someone did manage to get it, could you please post your height, weight and position (cause that affects the stats to some level)

Try try and once again try. It's random. I thought that the more I'm being involved in game will help me get better starting stats. But it's not true, after getting 5.5 as a CF in first game I've received 80 of agility stat.

I got like 88 or something around high 80s agility for my DM which is strange. i dont understand how a DM could have a high agility.

yeah, DMs get max agility too, probably cause it's usefull for ball interceptions and stuff..i've had a 186 tall DMF with 89 agility..

well i found out from o9 that if u start as a winger which i have done again in 2010 ur agility starts higher. my agility started at 87 or 88.

SMF, WF, CMF, DMF and assumably WB are "agility" positions in BAL. Easiest to get high agility with a WF, i never get below 90 as winger.

CF, SS and AMF gets agility in the 75 region. I usually end up between 74 and 78 here. I don't think I've ever gotten 80 with any of these.

^so you can get agility past 90 even?..does it happen if you make the player more injury prone (cause i think you get a bit better stats for that), or must you just play really, really well?

I've never made a player injury prone, I always keep it at A
Making alot of turns while in posession of the ball, V-feint and basic feints help increase your agility. Always pressing special controls when you recieve the ball improves your technique, and making proper shots give you better shot technique, shot accuracy and shot power.

Proper shot is when you lay off the ball appropriately before shooting, have a 1-2 step distance between the body and the ball. This results in a powerfull, well placed shot even with shot accuracy, power and technique in the 60's

Using up all your stamina early on, but keep playing good and make an impact for your team will get you quite high mentality. I once got 92 Mentality, but using this strategy will get you in the 80-85 area at the very least. The drawback is that you start with 70ish stamina.

By conserving stamina and end the game without bein exhausted, you will get quite high stamina rating, but low mentality. Mentality is a better choice, because it affect how much being exhausted affect your abilities. 99 mentality, for example, means that you don't really notice any difference wether your stamina bar is full, half full or empty.
Having 80-85 mentality also mean that you often play full matches from an early stage in your career.

As for Passing, I always get crap rating in it, no matter how much and good I pass in the scout match. Same goes for response, it hardly ever changes based on the scout match. A high agility (90+) counter some of the effect of low response however, at least you don't notice it quite as much when in posession of the ball.

The overall Match Rating is not directly connected to your starting abilities, but it affect wich clubs want you after the scout match.
You can do everything I described above and still get a poor match rating, depends on how many errors you make during the match and if you score or make assists. A goal and or/and an assist in the scout match should get you a 7.0 or so even if you played rather poor and did none of the "excercises" I mentioned above. Your abilities will clearly reflect on that and be in the mid mid 50's and 60's across the board, not counting the stats that are a bit higher by default, like stamina and pace etc.
By doing the above execises you will get roughly the same abilities wether your match rating is 5.5 or 8.0 in other words.

This is my conlusions after testing extensively, I've played more scout matches than regular BAL matches. I often use different players, or reloading the save I always make just before the scout match etc. than to test what affects wich stats etc. for comparison.
I will test this "Injury B and C" setting theory of yours soon, it's not a bad thought in theory... but KONAMI is never logical either, so...

good luck

^thanks man! That's really an insightfull post!..as for the injury settings, i did some research on scouting matches myself, and i think there really is some difference to the starting stats that way..but you can check it yourself..

*also, i've heard that using your weaker foot repeatedly in a scout match actually increases the weak foot acc..is there any truth to that? (i've tried a few times unsuccessfully, but if everything else is dependent on your performance..)

I don't think your stamina at the end of a match has any effect on your Mentality/Tenacity rating. I usually chase every ball in the scout match, even following a player the length of the pitch, and I make sliding tackles wherever possible - always end up with a Tenacity and Aggression above 80, regardless of my stamina at the end of the match.

I've played two tactics for the second half - one is that I stand in the middle of the pitch, playing the ball if it comes to be but otherwise not moving, to conserve stamina; the other is that I just carry on well past the point where my stamina bar empties. Oddly enough, seems to make no difference to my Stamina rating - I've had a very draining game and ended up with 79, and a very restful game and got 74. Doesn't seem to be any relation between Stamina and Height/Weight, either; least, not that I've spotted. Would have thought they'd give more heavily-built players a higher stamina than skinny little things but I've not got any consistent data on that.

My stamina is 94 i run around a bit just chase a few balls but then stop for a while and rest but this is my 7th year it just builds up over the years and i think by staying at a club for at least 2 years helps.
