Ai makes Sliding Tackle instead of Clearing

Hi! anyone experienced it? when wanting to clear the ball the pc just does a sliding tackle, usually leaving the ball dead.

Also in some cases ,when its a high ball always,the pc selects another play (i have it on semi) so when i think im clearing with one play player im actually tackling someone else. it usually end up in a foul or penalty?

You probably have the settings still on ''auto tackle''. In the gameplan menu select management edit, then select ''auto trigger'' tab and you should be able to turn off auto tackle which is pretty annoying having the computer give away needless fouls for you.

He is talking about the terrible player selection system.
The best way to fix this problem is to write a hatemail to konami or wait to pes 2012 and hope they made a game with less stupidity, or you could play that plastic fifa game

Yeah this problem is extremely frustrating as it can cost you a red card easily. What I've learned to do is always use X (xbox 360 - I assume square on PS3) to clear the ball unless I'm sure the player selected is in control of the ball or there is simply no opponent near the ball. Clearing it with X isn't as effective as a full blast long pass, although you could argue its a million times more realistic as your player will kick it out for corners, throw ins etc.

yeah, the big flaws like player selection, ai cheating, and at times very bad stupid AI, unrealistically difficult super hard penalties that goes 10 miles over the goal if i hold the shooting button for more than 0.00001 sec ( yes, i dont hold it longer than that ), way too overpowered through balls (overpowered mostly because of the curves they got), player not reacting to my feint/dribble unless i let go of the dribble modifier button and press it in again to do another one and other things i can't remember now..

Fix these things (most of them shouldnt be too hard to fix, except from improving ai maybe), and maybe tweak shooting, and it will be an incredible game imo.
