well i had a dodgy wire and GAME were useless they said for it to work i need to either plug it into my modem and if that dont work i have network it, and its too hard to do so basically they were saying doe bother exchangin get refund then handed me over to work experience dave lol! i went and bought a belt instead o well no loss!

It's called lag.

If you play people with 3 green connection arrows, the lag should be minimal and the game very playable. If you are playing against people with 2 yellow connection arrows or 1 red or none at all, there'll be increasing amounts of lag.

What I do is only play people with 3 green connection arrows and decline to play anyone else. Try this and notice the difference.

im connecting from turkey therefore theres no green arrows why konami has that kind of a system in fifa i can easily play but in pes i can only play when im host this means only one half

Er yea..I was wonderin...once u have put the adaptor on and connected to the computer...can u then just put on pro evo and play or what happens in between?

You have to setup your connection and register your details. Try it and see what happens.

I got another 'connection lost' message last night, no big deal as it doesn't happen that often. Strange thing is, usually I end up having to sign in again but this time I ended up back in the lobby. Not sure what happened but still ended up with a 3-0 reverse.

PS2 Network Adapter Speed Test Question

I just bought a network adapter for my PS2 and its all plugged up so i'm just waiting for WE9 to be released here in the states. By the way, no problems with registering the network adapter and all that. Now with the network adapter start-up cd in the PS2, i go to the main menu and choose the Advanced option. Then i choose the Network Tools option on the next screen and finally i choose the Speed Test option. Now what i get is an Average Transfer Rate of 25.84(kb/sec). I want to know if this is fast enough to host a game, or will i get a lot of lag because this seems really slow. I ran the test while my computer was on and i also have two other computers hooked up to the same router so i'm thinking maybe this is affecting the speed, but any answers as to why my Average Transfer Rate is so slow, if that rate is even considered slow, would be appreciated.

Yes the other PCs probably did affect the speed.

When you play online you really need to make sure all the PCs are off (or at least not using the internet connection for browsing or downloading ANYTHING) or it will cause severe problems with lag, especially for your opponent.

What is your connection speed supposed to be (max)?

I just did a speed test online at www.speakeasy.net and i got back 1283kb/s download speed and 300kb/s upload speed. i'll run another speed test on my network adapter later today when i get a chance with all the computers off to see if there is any improvement, thanks for the quick reply.

just got a wireless network in my house at uni, and a ps2 network adaptor. was just wondering if anybody knows if you can connect to a wireless network just using ethernet cables? or if you HAVE to buy an extra wireless adaptor?
any help appreciated, cheers
