I almost did it. I almost bought FIFA 09.

Let me explain. I've recently had a change in my living arrangements and for the forseeable future I do not have a HDTV.

My copy of Pro Evo is the EU version and live in America. I had always been told that you can play this game on and American console as long as you had it going through and HDMI connection.

So I bought FIFA took it home, didn't open it. I hooked up the PS3 to a regular TV and popped in PES)( thinking that it wouldn't work.

I almost did a backflip when that game came on and worked.

So Fifa goes back to the ol' Wal-Mart today for a big fat refund.

I almost did it, but am so happy I didn't open the damn thing.

Fifa I find is a great game for multiplaying (non-internet) with mates, but if I'm just playing on my own it's PES all the way.

Too many tossers online for my tastes. I like to play at my own pace and try to break down a defense slowly, rather than sprint all day

Fifa's better in all departments, especially single player i reckon. BAP is amazing as your teammates are intelligent and combine with you beautifully. I nearly scored a sick goal earlier. Played it out to Sagna on the right, he chipped it forward to Rosicky further down the right, who flicked it over his head with his back to goal. While the ball was going over his head i was making a run into space in the centre, and pressed x for the pass. He wasted no time and squared it to me on the volley. It bounced once and i hit an "RVP vs. Charlton" style volley from 35 yards right towards the top corner, only for Rob Green to tip it away for a corner the git. Would have been an instant upload onto EAfootballwrold for everyone to see. The OP made a huge mistake not keeping it. Missed out son.

while i have pes and feel underwhelmed, fifa is on its way yet again to my house from gamefly, if the update patch fixes alot of the glitches fifa has, my pes will be on ebay i pray for next year the first footages of pes show anything truly next gen

^It is next gen compared to pes 08. I really like pes 09.
BTW playing FIFA doesn't mean you're a fifa fan. You play it for fun like PES and then decide which game is better.
