for MLO?

I'm fairly new to Pes and have recently started playing MLO. Its very addicting although I rarely play anyone near the US and the lag can be frustrating at times.

The biggest problem is nearly everyone I play has loaded teams.
My team is 23Mil. and cant quite break out of D5.

When I play quick match its usually against a much better team and I'm likely to lose. Sometimes I get a draw. Why do I have to lose points for losing to a 100Mil team? I can never escape D5 like this. It pays, but it will take forever to get enough money to be truly competitive.

I try the D5 cups but usually come up against some moron with a 60Mil team and lose or draw because they repeatedly blast shots from 35+ yds with their super strikers and eventually some go in.

Any advice? Or should I wait for Pes 12?

Go ahead and play it for the experience.

I've got two options for you

1. Buy a bunch of unknown cheap decent players including backups
2. Buy one really good striker and constantly shoot from all angles and hope some go in.

If you buy a bunch of cheap players (there are some decent ones too) you can provide yourself with depth for when players are on poor form and make substitutions without losing quality (subs can make a big difference)

Its never too late but it will be frustrating.

I would like to add to the previous posts already list of solid advice.

When signed into MLO go to the options menu and change it to you only being paired with someone of similar skill (i think thats how its worded) and you should find your paired with your div more than players above. The only 2 negatives about this is you wont gain alot of profit and you will still come across the player with really big teams with star players as the MLO setup is still poor in this area (the sooner they limit stars to the 2 top divisions on the better as we all know Messi and co would never be willing to play in DIV 4-5).

I personally find playing the high rated players frustrating as most play really poor and one route football (despite knowing the move its hard at times to defend due to their superior squad) but im happy to score a few own goals (score 2 let them score their poor goals and repeat) and mess about and make the game poor for them too as i will still gain a high profit even for a 10-0 loss (I know this is wrong but frustration is hard to fight).

Im hoping PES 2012 implements a fixed rating of player of each div so we don't see poor players with messi and co just because they can dedicate more time to the game (If your good and play alot you deserve them and should be rewarded with access to these players but DIV 4/5 should be forced to play with only players rated 75 and below until they reach a higher DIV).

my advise to you is to go to the countries that have good and cheap players . such as Egypt they have good players .. i bought two players and a GK they so good and too cheap . i have Moteab as a striker and Abutaraka as a midfield ... you can also buy Zidan he is the best... but i also advise u not to buy an expensive players just play with cheap once till you have enough money to buy at least four good players at one time ... i bought Pedro and Maxwell and some other god players .. but the quick match fee will go up as far as your team worth goes up too .. and if you lose a match you will lose points and more money .. ( play at least 1 month in your basic cheap team and earn money ) then think bout buying better player ... i am still in D5 .. cuz when i go to D4 and lose few match i go back to D5 ..... GOOOD LUCK TO YOU <<<<<< AND NEVER TOO LATE

I've had the most success with the ML Open. I've changed nearly my entire team from players I like to players I believe to be 'Pes friendly'. Along with my formation. From realistic to 'pes friendly'. Anyway the result has been good. Made 80pts on Friday and should be promoted to D4. My team is still only 23Mil. but we'll see if it was my changes or just the pes gods.

There needs to be a region filter for online. I only lost 2 games Friday and one was to a middle easterner while I had massive button lag.

Well the Pes gods have turned on me. Taken a beating today by cheesers and lag.

So far in D4 9/10 games its either a 6-0-4, 4-2-4, or 5-0-5. Fucking douchebags, go play FIFA. Especially when you have a $60Mil+ team.

I made the elimination phase in the D4 cup only to be beaten by ridiculous lag. The dumb AI scored an own goal (header on a corner from a guy I wasn't even controlling) . And lag so bad that my player would get the ball, stumble for a second and run 10yds out of bounds. WTF!!!! Do the people in these third world countries not experience the same shitty lag or are they just used to it???

Today I've seen more of my attackers jump over loose balls and defenders back away from loose balls. All while I frantically try to get the players to switch to no avail.

BTW I played FIFA again to compare. FIFA's online is lag free for me. But the game is so damn scripted I can have 15 shots and hit the post 7 times and lose 1-0 on 1 shot. Bullshit. I'll put up with Pes's flaws although sometimes it seems obvious the pes gods are favoring one team. Just not as obvious as FIFA's bs.

I actually had a defender one time lift his leg over a through ball.

You know that animation where when you pass the ball, and hold R1 (RB) and nothing else, that player the ball was directed at will lift his leg up and let the ball roll through, hopefully to another attacker.

Yeah, well my opponent passed the ball towards my box, and without me pressing anything (not even controlling that player) my CB performs this animation allowing my opponent to receive the pass and score...

absolute bullchit!

On the contrary I think that for a new player in MLO, it is a good time time to enter. The money you receive from each match (win or loose) are based (besides the Division you are in) on your opponents budget. So if you constantly play with teams worth lets say 100 mil, you will earn money quicker.

Players that started playing i.e. on October-November, didn't have this option, as they were paired with similar budget teams, so their earning per game were much lower, than the earning you will make for each game.

Always have in mind the money you will make by playing with expensive teams. Doesn't matter if you loose: some players are better than you, some teams have better players, some games are scripted by Konami "handy cap" system so that whatever you do - you will loose :) - only think about the earnings you will make from each game. Good luck!

Yesterday was an extremely frustrating day. I had been holding my own in D4 until I lost probably 10 in a row. I did manage a draw vs a 350Mil D1 team and I scored his only goal.

I have scored 13 own goals now in a little over 200 games. Most are ridiculous. I've played several ML seasons offline and never saw an own goal. I find the AI of the CBs to be terrible. Dumb CB AI + clumsy switching + button lag = opponent goal.

My worst lag comes from Mexican opponents. I actually hope for a Brazilian now. Is there anyway to back out once you see your opponent without losing money or points?

Also, I am playing 3 in the back. I score a lot more but am vulnerable to the 'run to the end, low cross' that people love so much. Do you guys use 3 CBs or a SW in the middle?

BTW I do seem to be 'playing to lose' a lot of games simply for the payout. My team is 25Mil now.

I play with 3 cbs and do just fine as long as you have a "covering" MC or DMC. I notice a conventional defense is just as effective as the 3 cb defense. If you know a player will use that tactic, you have to close them down with DM or CB (I often slide tackle into the path of the cross which helps a lot!)

I've been thinking of trying a 3-4-3 for shits and giggles. 4 CMs to clog the middle and 3 strikers to hit them as they typically charge all but 2 players up field.

(the sooner they limit stars to the 2 top divisions on the better as we all know Messi and co would never be willing to play in DIV 4-5).

It would be great if your team was given an overall rating based on the sum of your players ratings, and limit this to the division. Essentially it would be like a salary cap.

This and make fatigue/injuries/cards all carry through. It seems to me that sometimes they do and sometimes they don't, but I can't recall.

injuries carry over, thats about it i believe.

Yeah I guess they do. I think what must have happened was I had a player get injured during a game but then he must have recovered by the next game..

More importantly I think, because fatigue doesn't carry over, you don't really get bad long term injuries (unless of course you keep playing injured players).

Hopefully they do a lot of work on this for PES2012.

Unless its changed in the last couple of months, I believe injuries don't carry over to quick games (if its just the normal injury where the player can carry on playing but struggling).

I think only in tournaments do the injuries (and suspensions) carry over, however I'm not sure for how long. I once had Van Persie injured in a qualifying game, he was still injured in the next qualifying game but I used him anyway. For the third game he was still injured, so I decided to rest him, but that didn't seem to help either as he remained injured.
