Ok so i started a masterleague season on Amature difficulty and it was just too easy ... i was just winning virtually every game in my first season. So i restarted on regular and the difference was a slap in the face. I can defend ok and rarely conceed a goal, but scoring and retaining posession has become a nightmare.
On Amature i always seemed to find someone to pass to and could keep the ball moving. But on regular as soon as i get into the opposition half i'm getting pressured straight away. The other team is cutting off all my normal passing channels and if i don't pass the ball quickly as soon as i get challanged they just push me off the ball (and its pretty hard to win back).
I don't use any of the manual tactics or calling attack/defend (its on semi-auto i think) and just play a standard 4-4-2 formation. I don't really know how to do any tricks / fancy sidesteps ... i used to depend on my passing game (particularly through balls down the flanks) to create chances, but I'm guessing i need some new strategies.
nil nil draws are killing me ... so, how can i improve my attacking play?
oh, and the players i've purchasd are:
Sidnei (CB - cheap and effective)
Ben Sahar (CF - cheap and decent long term development)
Fujimoto (MF - utility midfielder. probably not the best choice due to low balance so gets pushed off the ball all the time - good development).
