I know theres no need for a new thread but the Demo is absolutley subline Online!

It runs better than the normal demo lol

We can use this to discuss the greatness of the online demo!

I dont know but it runs smoothly and quickly. The reaction times are perfect and theres not that brightness in the box at corners and you can actually dribble with the ball.

Ive had three matches, two against Germans and one against a Belgian and there wasnt a bit of lag. Sensational considering you couldnt even play PES 09 online at all.

Could you play against Belgians on the previous one? I was suprised to see that person!

Ill try and record me playing a match online later with my laptop webcam and put it on youtube.

Good. So is it a better code than the pes demo? (not we demo)

as far as i could tell shaun it seemed more like the a cross between the WE demo and the PES demo... but as far as i can tell it is'nt much different..

i think the lineups where different... no alonso for liverpool...

No lag at all which is good. But was frustrating like the first pes demo. This doesn't feel like the we demo. It may not be cos it's got the same teams, no brazil

It feels slower than the demo if you can believe it and the reaction times are worse.

Sad to hear but I kind of expected that.

While reviews were positive about the responsiveness issue being fixed, you could read at the same time stuff like "Realistic pace, it feels heavy like players shoes are filled with stone"

Makes no sense :/ But I always loved reviews, they're always contradictory :D

I'll be highly disappointed if dribbling isn't possible with players like Messi.

^ apart from that post, it's great news regarding the online mode. And you're sure this is not just because you played with someone who has a great connection? I remember in pes 2009 and 2008 when you played against one with lousy connection it really sucked..

dont forget this is just a demo not final code... so i would take it with a pinch of salt... but i was able to dribble no problem with torres earlier..

I think the online will be great if they can implement the we demo gameplay/ review code gameplay into online then it will be great. 1 positive is that its lag free but they've used the demo code.

yea this defo feels like the pes demo not the we demo. No lag but really sluggish, u get the ball then you push the pass button and it takes about 3 seconds by then youve been tackled... crap but good no lag just hope we get we gameplay

I have now played 12 online games on the 360..

I have to say im impressed..

When you register you have to choose your favourite team and player.. it lets you scroll through every team in the game.. (my heart was in my mouth and i thought the online demo had every team to play with.) no its still a demo with the same PES demo teams.
.
The game has changed from the PES & WE demos

Now when you 1st play it you have to get used to the new feeling that appears stiff and pasty at 1st..

As you play on you learn how the game physics work and you realise its very realistic..

For instance..

say your a defender and your running back toward your goal trying to intercept Messi on the wings.. (He's running straight and your running diagnal).

Now as you get close you have to decide.. if i continue to run diagnal at full speed i can get the ball off him assuming he keeps running straight or if im to assume he will cut in i have to make sure im not pressing run otherwise I will be going too fast to stop and change direction.

You have to think like this in order to defend well in the game and also in attack you can reverse this same method.. if someones coming full speed turn them because you will learn they cant do what they used to in past games..

Again once you get used to it and you get smarter with it..

Someone said it before that this is not a pick up and play and if you have been playing fifa it will be hard to play this at 1st especially if your looking for instant results. this is true.. also you have to be willing to enjoy this game and not put up that barrier with a stink face on for whatever reason you have the barrier up for in the 1st place.

I love this game more and more after each game i play.. online its 10min games and 12 games is a good 2-3 hours and it flew by..

The ref decisions are very good.. the keepers were brilliant but fair while not being impossible..

You may not get much chances in your 1st few games and like in real life you have to make sure you take those chances if you get them..
as you progress you learn to create your chances but the score lines are usually quite realistic and rewarding..

I just cant wait to play this with all the kits and teams in the many modes avaliable...

Its late.. im going on a bit now..
what does anyone else with the online demo think or does anyone have any questions?

ps i still want to know about the edit mode on the 360

Dont agree at all i think this is still the same build as the pes demo and not the later WE demo. Feels the same and i could tell when going back to the WE demo afterwards. Hope its sorted.

In the PES demo the through ball was broken

in the online demo it appears fixed..??

I though it was good and felt nice.. one thing though is it could feel different because im playing real people as opposed to the AI..

Is yours the 360 or PS3..?

either way i hope WE and PES end up exactly the same as this could cause issues if they are different versions
