me n my bruva play pes2008 on ps2..we both have master leagues but in order to make it more..balanced..what ever play i have, he cant have and what ever play he has, i cant have. etc

i seem to have a better strikeforce and defence than him but for some reason, i lack scoring ability. Also, i have quite good striker and dont know what formation to play. Any ideas?

P.S. Any ideas will be very helpful and also, if u tell me what players to buy..il giv it a think (no classic players please)

Heres my team:
Cech
Nesta
Thuram
I.Cordoba
A.Cole
Emerson
Kaka
Messi
Robben
Henry
Eto

J.Ceser
Puyol
Chivu
Ciciniho
Cambiasso
Ibrahimovic
Saviola
Joaquin

You seem to have gotten hold of most of the iconic (best?) players in the game! If you want to make it more balanced, you should lend some of those to your brother.

You seem to prefer fast and skillful strikers. They are also very good at scoring, but I seem to have more luck hitting the net with bigger, bulkier tanks like Crespo, Jerome, Halil Altintop or even Anelka. The best combination, I find, is one of them as a CF and a fast shadow striker like Saviola, Earnshaw or Messi a little to the side and a bit pulled back. You may want to take a look at one or two of them. It'll also open up the play in the area, high balls being more dangerous and all.

The most effective tactic for me is a 4-4-2 with a diamond midfield. Something like this:

------GK------
---CB----CB---
WB---------WB
-----DMF------
SMF--------SMF
-----AMF------
---------SS---
-----CF-------

Alternatively, a 4-5-1 with four DFs, two DMFs, two SMFs, one AMF/SS and one CF for those tough matches in defense. In any case, it's important to have relatively fast and tough SMFs. Wingers should be useful in defense, leave the running to the midfielders. Ensure the DMF has teamwork and passing, and that he has good body balance, else he'll lose some critical balls that'll leave the team in a real bad position to respond.

I find this tactic is good for playing down the center or the wings, but it's more comfortable for wing attacks. Also, it's better for defending against players that go down the wings a lot (like the computer AI). If your brother rarely goes down the wings and is not a very adaptive player (doesn't mix it up even if his usual tactic isn't working) you could risk a 3-4-3 with three CBs and two DMFs. That way your defense will virtually be a wall and you'll have more players in midfield.

Oh, if you're gonna go only for fast, skillful strikers, you can pull the SS a bit more behind and pull the AMF back to become a CMF. Ensure that his position doesn't clash with the DMF's though.

Hope it helps.

Yeah sometimes it is good to play with SS
