"8 + sprint"
'sprint' is a speed, how is it an angle, let alone 8?

I think I'll run around in training some.
i'm not saying it was right ;)

8-way direction for this game on the PC blows SOOOOOO HARD
i'm sick of struggling to make diagonal runs

When you hold R1 to sprint, you'll see that the when the player turns it's not as much as 45 degrees. So he'll make two narrower turns (I guess it's 22.5 degrees?) before he is sprinting diagonal (45 deg) to where he started.

yeah i've noticed the different ways to run and such, but its frustrating when you are going and you want to make a diagonal cut by a defender and your guy goes the wrong way and you get stripped

yeah - the d-pad will never die coz i will never let it. If we were meant to use the analogue sticks we would have been born with an extra thumb on each hand.

I find I have to keep taking my thumb off the left stick and putting it back on 'coz its got so out of position, after a few minutes...
Maybe its me having a slippery left thumb, but I find much lower levels of slippage with the d-pad, so, by default, that is my choice.

Dpad
Born and Raised

For me it's just impossible to use the analog stick, i'm juz confused how other ppl can use the analog. I really hate those RPG games where only analog is available  Using the analog to dribble is juz...weird, unnatural. ;)

Exactly the same here.

If you'd been using the Dpad for so many years, it's very difficult to suddenly change to the Analog stick, let alone trying it.

Analog is king!! I used D-pad in the early days of ISS, ISSpro, PES and then when PES2 came I changed to analogue and haven't looked back. More control and greater fluidity! Long live analogue control......

D-Pad all the way although it does kill the thumb after a few matches.

lol. my left thumb is probably twice the size of my right one. digital all the way...

Depends on what are the options.

From what I see, most players use D-pad, but would like to use Analog, as in think analog is better.

So what's the poll:

More-used one or better one???

:p

if the poll was which one is best or which one is most used d-pad would have won either way so whats your point zizou?

Cos most ppl would want to change to using analog but they can't :(

Analog is far more flexible, having 64 directions whilst D-pad having only 8 :(

I'm using the D-pad, and I hope I can change too...

...it's too difficult :(

fair enough. but you cant turn in 64 directions with the ball anyway. it is funny how there is such a strong following to a certain type. just like inverting the axis on FPS.........................(i cant have it inverted. UP IS UP!)

D-pad is fractions of a second quicker.

Try playing timing based games like Tony Hawk or fighters with analog. You can't.
