Annoying opposition players

Hi I'm new to this forum, just thought i'd bring up this topic. For me, when I play Ajax that bastard Vierklau always goes in hard and the ref hardly ever calls a foul, so i spend the rest of the match trying to get him stretchered off with one of my expendable players, like Ray Parlour for instance.

Beckham also, i enjoy using Ashley Cole to time his tackles down the sidelines, and let that overrated twat gain a yard or two then crunch the ball out for a throw-in while leaving him in the mud, in pain, and in a lot of embarassment.

Generally, i take out my frustration at players in PE that i hate in real life. May explain why i play like David Batty perhaps. Or a Gilles Grimandi.

Henry has to be the worst I play against.
He's too good at everything and he even scores with headers!!

I haven't really tried to injure anyone deliberately though.
I prefer to keep all my 11 on the pitch.

Is that how you enjoy your PES2? For me I would just play to win, not play to injure players! Why would you want to get your player sent off? Kinda stupid. Ah well, I guess Im sayin you should try and play your PES2 properly.

Nothing beats a good two-footer and mauling the your opponents star man. WAY more fun than scoring goals. It's a mans game after all! The most annoying players have to be Barbarez, Angel, Vassell and Juninho of Palmeiras. They all score much more goals against me than the top strikers in the game, regardless of who I have in defence.

For me it's got to be Mahdavikia (sp?) for HSV on the right wing in ML. I mean, his blummin' crosses always get a goal!

Grr...

Probably Henry... hes just too good, its unnerving. But nowadays im so set on not let him get through he hardly ever scores anymore, unlike that bloddy little queer Owen...

if anyone ever played the early versions of FIFA, there was a "special" button which enabled you to perform a deliberate foul on your opponent leaving him injured and while your player gets a red card. would anyone like to see this feature in PES3? i'm undecided.

nah of course not, the beauty of mistimed tackles is that they are actually mistimed. Don't get me wrong I'm all for beautiful football which is what PE/WE is all about, but in 2 player mode against your Utd-supporting "friend" and Roy Keane leaves his foot in when you clear the ball as if you aren't going to try get one back on him.

Deliberate foul/send-off button is a no go, BUT... i think a great additional move would be a "control" button, so you can keep the ball in play with a deft touch, or do a Kanu-style flickover/ Bergkamp-style drag back/ Vieira-style flicking over an opponent. Can't do that all the time though, maybe you could press L1+L2 together at the precise moment.

Why not just edit his stas, then? Make his heading a little less good, or something?

I leave the stats as they are.
Otherwise it is kind of cheating.

Plus if you play on someone else's version of the game he'll be even more of a bitch against you!
Tournaments don't usually allow editing to stats.
