how bad is it? im in CA too i have my ps3 connected to the wireless router instead of using the wifi and its pretty good

i want to get the euro version but i want to know if its worth it for online

So far American version is great online, almost lag free, if you're in USA and play American game on American servers you shouldn't have many problems.
On the other hand, the same can't be said about Euro game. You're playing from across the pond, there's a big chance all your games will have lag.

hey Guys, North American based players with UK version, how is the online experience for you so far? ...iam thinking of ditching my US version for a UK version for the PS3... i only play online mostly. for us version, not enough players, only small number, who always pick real madrid or barca..boring as hell.

I also got my uk copy earlier this week from sendit.com. I'm in CA and I have not been able to play with anyone that has a green connection. With that said, most games I've played against europeans haven't been too bad. Although there is a little lag and response issues.

EXACTLY, I wouldnt recommend getting the U.K./European version to anyone that wants to play online here in the U.S.A. Ive played several matches online and have yet to find anyone with a green or yellow connection.There is lag and it tends to have more button delay.Everyone needs to realize that the servers for the u.k./european version are located way way way to far from us here in the U.S.
Thus it is normal for there to be lag considering we are so far away.

I recently bought the u.s. version because I plan to play alot online.I will see how it compares,considering from what ive read here it seems like the difference is like night and day.
