Anyone recommend cd burning software?

Hi All,

Did my first patch last night following the excellent instructions on this site.

One (sort of) problem however, it says to burn as slow as possible - I'm using Nero, and the slowest it would let me burn at was 24x !!! The game worked ok, but it took a long time to load each section and you could hear the reader going a bit mental.

So, can anyone recommend an alternative burning program?

Cheers.

Larsson's right. Try CDrWin and burn at x4. I always use Memorex Black CDr's as well so that my PS2 laser doesn't have such a hard time reading them. Hope this helps!

Yes, if you can't change the speed try the other programs.

If anyone else has problems with Nero, it seems that newer versions of Nero have a higher minimum write speed (which we don't want!). Maybe trying an older version will let you burn slower.

yep, alcohol 120% seems really good to me, you can choose which data option to record the cd as, so you can make it write it as a ps2 game which i assume makes it easier to read- this is the only one i have had success with.

i think CloneCD is more reliable to burn images. Combined with clonyXXL you can burn ps2 games with te correct settings.
I also have nero, alchohol, cdrwin etc, but i vote for cloneCD ;)

My vote defintely goes to alcohol too! Easy to use (just choose ps2 disc) and everything works fine.
