Anything different in MLO this year?

Didn't see alot of talk about MLO, so I'm just wondering if anyone knows whether they made any adjustments to MLO? Like the cards carrying over to the next game,so i don't have assholes trying to injure my players when they're losing. (injury, does actually carry over sometimes...)

yep - i noticed mlo11 the injury does carry over sometimes. I think MLO is the best thing on next gen for football. I don't understand why it wasn't the biggest talking point, it could be expanded so much, let's hope they haven't missed this opportunity.

I really hope they integrate the custom stadum for our MLO clubs.

The key aspect they 'need' to bring in for MLO is player growth. Myself, like many PES players out there, love the challenge of raising youngsters with low stats, but high potential, and moulding them into good players and a great team. "That" is the beauty of the Master League - so why not allow us to utilise this magic in the MLO?

Without it, the MLO means nothing to me if I'm honest. Because it's not MLO really, it's just regular League Mode Online with one or two minor changes.

Word is born.

It'll never work player growth online!
If there is player growth , players will need to age and what will constitute as year 30/40 games? What will happen when players start to retire?
MLO was the most amazing thing about pes 2011 and the only reason i kept playing pes 2011 despite all it's annoyances it was still an amazing mode.
I think why it's not been talked about to much is people just want to know if the gameplay is going to be right first of all. No point getting excited for an online mode if you think the game is shite i suppose.

Player growth could work, undoubtedly.

Say 30 online games equates to a year - that's a year of player growth right there. Let's say the player's retire around 35-40, then once retired, are reborn but not with amazing stats like is often the case in the normal ML, and there will also be unknown players born in the sense that there names aren't recognised. It's completely random, and happens at the end of each season (30 games).

It could work for sure - we just need two filters when playing MLO. One which allows for player growth, and another which doesn't - meaning the games are all relatively fair, and we as consumers are playing against opponents who we'd most like to as well.

Being someone who loves nothing more than to raise youngsters in the ML (genuine players at that too, not the amazing fantasy players like Schwarz, Shimizu etc.) - I would love to take on other players online in MLO who are also attempting to build their team up using younger players. It's a great challenge.

What's disheartening for myself, and many others I imagine is that most players online who play MLO are carbon copies, in that we're playing against the same players and 'dream teams', and not only does it become mundane, but often frustrating.

why do you thnk there is no player growth on ultimate team and it is a good mode for a game like fifa. because if there was player growth it'll ruin the fun. i don't want my crap team to be versing a team with players over a 100, it ruins the fun. no player growth is fun as it won't get out of hand and you can buy and sell players with normal stats and no cheating

@ JJH - I totaly agree with all your input.

I personally have spent hours thinking of ways to improve MLO.

My biggest gripe (cheats aside), is that my club is just like every other club. MLO teams need more character, more variation, just more well everything!!!

imagine having 100 or so mini MLO challenges, things like: 'Score a hatrick', 'keep 5 clean sheets on the trot', have one player assist 100 goals'. Completing each challenge offers a prize, such as unlocking certain classic players, not easily, but something else to work towards.

This would single handedly keep people interested for longer and expand the group of players that everyone wants to own.

I mean, why would i want Arshavin when i just unlocked George Best!!!! r.i.p. ;)

I agree, as much as I tried to avoid getting the same players as other people, there was just so many position where there is just 1 or 2 great players and its either you get them or you're gonna have to get someone who does not work as well.

With all that being said. I think there is a really easy way to fix that, and it would balance the game much more between those who play a shit load and those that plays one or two games a week:
1)By introducing a salary cap and a discount system based on the division you're in. The higher the division, the higher the salary cap,the lower your division, the higher the discount rate .

I think that this is good in that being in a certain division has both pros and cons giving us a motivation to actually reach D1. This will help lower division teams build a decent squad faster while not allowing them to have as good of a team that a D1 player can obtain due to the salary cap. Having a salary cap, will have people thinking more about which players they get, so there won't be so many of the same teams.

2)And for every player you sell, the money you get for selling them is significantly lower than what you've signed them for. Again the percentage should be based on the division the player is in. Say 50% for D5 and 40% for D4 and so on.
Again, this will have players thinking before they buy their players, and pay consequences for making bad buys, *cough* torres. What this also does is help balance the amount of money between a player who plays alot from those who don't, assuming that they don't use all the same players for 1000 matches.

and the MLO challenges would be awesome, which i think we will see in the future.

No player growth this year.

Apparently players do get tired and have stamina issues though, so it's crucial to have a decent set of subs and apparently the stamina carries over to the next game.

Player contracts are in now, 10 weeks, 20 weeks and 50 weeks. So it's possible that having an all star team could be tougher to achieve now, but I'm not too sure, some people have discussed that it wont be, but only time will tell.

Match winning prices, drawing prices and I believe even losing prices have gone up of course with the contract stuff introduced. Of course no more match entry fees (no clue about the tournaments yet).

Not sure on any other stuff added just yet. I do actually like the idea being discussed here of player growth, I can actually see that being worked in for next year's edition, but they're going to need to take time to work it all out without it damaging MLO. Also, a massive no to classic players, as mentioned somewhere here, that would take away all realism, I hope they never even consider adding classic players. Quite gutted that Ronaldo and co cant be brought online yet again though (fat Ronaldo, Carlos etc).
