i read some where there was rumours bout a patch
with more editing abilites and wat not...

I emailed konami support asking the same Q. I had heard on other sites an update was expected yesterday but no sign of it yet.

This was the reply I received from Konami:

Dear customer, Thank you very much for contacting the Konami customer support team. Konami Digital Entertainment has uncovered issues which affect gameplayquality of PES 2008 on PLAYSTATION 3. We are working at full strength to find a solution as quickly as possible. We sincerely apologise for this inconvenience. Further announcements will bemade as quickly as we have additional details.

That's quite true in fairness. PES6 and PES 2008 buyers, should be able to get at least 25% off the game's £40 price as an apology from Konami.

i remember having a glitch with fifa08 that kept me downloading the squad file before every online game. Someone in these forums said: you can just hope EA will fix it, if they even paid attention to their customers (or something along these lines). Anyways EA released a great patch, not only fixing this problem but adding 5v5 and refining gameplay so it's actually a bit faster, which made the game great.

So, let's just hope konami does the same for all people who bought PES, I'm sure glad i didn't this year.

EA may have a reputation for bringing crap into the market, but in my experience they have good support.

As for KONAMI, well...

Not that they usually need it though, their games are usually released complete.
