Are there any patches that actually take out the region code ?

So that it's playable on any PS2? Something that i could add on to the game and patch so that i don't have to contiually swap? A disc that loads up with it's own boot sector i suppose? kinda like having cdloader and swap magic already on the backup?

If you're talking bypassing the boot sequence, so you don't have to swap discs or anything, the only solution is installing a modchip. This is costly and difficult, so you're probably better off just sticking to Swap Magic.

Yeah I know, modchips are around 50 dollars and buying a pre installed ps2 is like 500?!

Nah, it can´t be 500 dollars, I´ve bought one a few weeks ago for 250 euro.

If there was such a thing, people would be doing it more often like that.
Mod chip is the best option. Shop around for a better price.

Otherwise you have to keep on swapping......

nah guys it is around 500 for a preinstalled mod chipped one. ehh whatever i only play soccer (how american of me?) games now anyway
