Yeah I concur. Wish I liked it tbh. The setting of the 3rd is something I would enjoy, but the gameplay is meh.

Indeed, this slag looks much better without it, but looking at that crap screenshot, it seems he doesn't have the hood.....prologue section or changeable costumes?

Wish they'd just give this game a fucking break for a year and actually focus on making significant improvements rather than making glorified expanision packs every year.

Dragonfly

Waiting....
Was it Assassin's Creed II that had the Adam & Eve Truth video? That was really good, but mainly due to the story. Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood was a bit of a dip, although it was fairly enjoyable. I've not played Revelations or number III, yet.

Yeah, I think so. Revelations didn't have the glyph puzzles, which is a shame because they were a good idea.

Yeah it was ACII, would love a game based around Adam and Eve.

Although I have heard that the naval battles in AC3 were a highlight of the game and this sounds rather interesting, according to some sources they have two separate teams working on AC games so no doubt the team that did AC3 are already working AC V.

This works, looks great but then again so did the AC3 CG trailer and look how that turned out. Not a fan of the main character though, looks to clean for that era and environment.

Coming out on PS4/(Next) Xbox too.

This sounds tits, I mean big fat Oprah Winfrey Tits right here:

-only short gameplay was shown
-new team
-development began in the summer of 2011
-written by the scriptwriter of Revelations
-no campaign co-op
-player will be an employee of Abstergo Entertainment, a subsidiary of Abstergo Industries
-no Desmond, but other characters will return
-something similar to the brotherhood of assassins will be back
-setting includes Cuba, Bahamas, Nassau and south Florida
-game includes jungles, temples, Mayan ruins, underwater ship wrecks and more
-a lot of work is put in improving stealth
-ocean combat and exploration center of the game
-Player can use a spyclass to spot ships with an overlay explaining weapons, treasure etc
-swimming and underwater combat is in
-hunting whales is possible
-no carefully crafted subtext or political intrigue
-Templars will be back
-enemy will be a collective of rival pirates
-certain islands will be difficult to access at the beginning of the game
-more tall buildings than in AC3

Black Flag looks like a spin-off game. It's an open-world pirate simulator, a marked departure from the more narratively linear Assassin's Creed games that came before it.

Black Flag appears to be a hybrid of the series' more charismatic early-Ezio era set within a truly open world of land and sea, on a scale reminiscent of The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker.

Exploration, an open world and a wider variety of tasks and freedom in which to engage in those tasks are all key to Ubisoft here – and in concept, it’s all pretty damn exciting. Freedom is ‘Wind Waker’s’ greatest asset, and I wiled away many hours on ‘Pirates!’ trading spices and robbing merchants – so combining the two with the quality Assassin’s Creed action excites me immensely.

The idea of building a crew who can die is very appealing.

Just a shame they've confirmed no sea monsters. A Kraken or Giant Octopus would have been a real selling point.

I'd be surprised if you can recruit your own crew and go plunder and do whatever you please. That would be amazing, but I doubt it.
