At least Two New Tips per User...

1. make sure your left backs defence is set to high on the formation screen as the preset formations have it on low or normal which can leave you open to counter atacks.

2. when the other player has a corner set your stratergy to counter attack and go down the right hand side to take advantage of this

Thought I'd start a new thread containing outright tips, just for a laugh.
If you post, give at least TWO new and clearly explained contributions, nice one!!

Okay here are mine - (obviously some of these most or all will know)

1. Ronaldo and Ronaldinho Flip Flap - R2 X 3 (fast)
2. Scoring headers close range - Use X instead of Square, with direction within 10 yards of goal, the ball is so mush more under control than what pressing square produces. It actually looks really cool and you can place the ball in bottom corners etc. Not in any manuals...weird!

Been doing that since PES3.

Try running across goal from the wing going past the post on the edge of the box then manual pass back on your self, looks very nifty flicking the ball into the far corner when the keeper is off balance, if your good enough turn your back and back heel it in, done this many times, the back heel once.

Okay here we go.

1. follow the defender and hold R2+X to kick away the ball without touching the attacker. Also use R2 when passing first time. very effcetive in passing about even when pressurerized by alot of defenders. Helps me in playing my way out of danger in the box.

2. use a tall striker and two second strikers rushing towards him. I use Ibrahimovich, then hold R2 and press ur direction towards the ball then release d-pad and hold R2. the player would shield the defenders from the ball even in the middle of two defenders and release a thru pass. I also build my attack around him went unbeaten yesterday just using teams with tall strikers. Luca toni, Crouch, Kanu, Ibrahimovich, koller, kCarew.

3. use super cancel alot when defending and aim at the defender to barge them off the ball nice cheeky fouls disrupting the opponents game.

4. not too good with freekicks? choose the second kicker, tap it out to your player then make a run or a short one two and shoot. . Your opponent has very little reaction time, his defence would be open before he can rally them around.

4. Never use X to defend in the box by holding it down. Just tapp it. Holding down x leads to penalties.

I think i have outdone my self, any ideas for good lobbing on this game?

good tips there.....i'm guessing R2 gives you extra control still when going in for tackles ... have you managed to do the R2 drag back on the ball yet. Nice little trick but useless in a game I reckon, unless your timing is spot on. Will try the R2 + X for tackles for sure....refs are starting to really piss me off constantly disrupting the game.

Haven't really got any good tips for lobbing, you could however, stick your opponents triangle button down with tape.

1.if your on defence and have only 1 or 2 defenders back, dont run in for the tackle on the forward because if you do its 1 on 1 with the keeper if he manages to get by you. instead track him with R2 and dont let him by, this is a good way to slow the opponent down so you can get more men back.

2. low crosses are very effective in this game, especially if you've caught your opponent on the back foot. send them in from the wing and even if your player doesn't get to it there's a strong possibility of an own goal.

Just another one I remebered....

The CPU Will always try to make you lose after you win 6-8 games on the bounce (don't know why) So when it starts to cheat you, shout and swear loudly at the computer and turn it off!!

1.Use R2 to dribble when in need of close control,
2.Use wingers especially when playing with chelsea against humans and play overthetop through balls to them have a right footed player on the left and a left footed player on the right, guarenteed goals!

1. The R2 drag back can be used to mocking effect if your opponent goes for a sliding tackle with no momentum (human opponent, computer hardly does it) try it bobslob.

2. If you are not very good at freekicks but get one near the edge of the box, shoot a powerful shot staight at the keeper, he should spill it and hopefully someone can tuck it away.

Okay i am back with more tips.

1. when running always use r2 to stop. you lose the player on you. say u are running diagnol to the goalpost, marked by two players release d-pad anhd holsd r2 they stop to face the goal. And yep they markers are off, if they come back for you, then move again and stop. Its so hard to track a person who plays like that. MNove and stop, move and stop they dont know what u are going to do nextand with players like Nedved, that little time before they get back means space for a shot.

3 new tips

1. wen you have a corner or a freekick, use L2 with R1 to put more man into the box of youre opponent! with L2 together with R2 you do less man in to the box of youre opponent.
2. Always put a player with the abbility playmaker on youre midfield, better is a playmaker abbility together with passing, he is youre main passing man on youre midfield, youre attacking players can receive better passes.
3. If you have a middle shooting and a good shot statistic ability on youre strker, try to pass the ball to him on the ground, and hold R1 with left/right direction on youre joystick, your'e striker will turn sidewards, with a lot of space to shoot directly on the goal!

okay played ranking number five player JJD last night. He was good, lost to him 2-1 but it was close (or so I like to think). He uses R2 to stop the ball a shit load. It was rather hard to track him when he did this. He was putting amazing curl on rediculous shots from distance and hitting the posts and net bars alot (guessing he was shooting with R2). He uses dummy shots alot which was also shaking my defenders off, even when I wasn't commiting to tackles. He was also running just normally most the time, wasn't really sprinting. Much harder to tackle I found. Fair play! the guy has got skills. Ma goal was a beauty though!

heres my 2
1. tired of playin pointless matches ie last 3 games of season when your top scorer winning league etc. go on holiday at start of match go on player settings at move ur curser over till its a man wiv a speach box. this makes you manager so you can do subs and change formation etc without playing, watching your team win whilst having a nice cup of tea
2. when in your half, idealy sp in defence instead of hoofing it to clear it press L1 and press circle(cross) 3times fast this passes the ball very fast along the floor usually way to fast for their defenders/midfielders to intercept but as it is along the floor slows down quickly enough for henry to latch onto it. works 50%of time for me. better than hoofing it into their keepers greatful arms in a panic
ps thanks for all the tips and could some1 explain the holding of players thing with r2 every time i try it my player just faces toward opponents goal

If I had to give two tips although they have probably been done already.....

1.Hold R1 when taking free kicks for power shots, then aim for any gaps in the wall or ANY clear route to goal, and you dont need much power at all (on the gauge) hold down square about a quarter of the way.

2.A good one is, when opponents have you on the break, if you think its going to end in tears, foul them sooner on purpose, rather than later by mistake. In general, the further up the pitch you are, the less likely you are of geting sent of or booked!

My top tips are definitely these:

1)Always bring your keeper out when he is one on one, as more often than not he is able to stop the shot.

2)Also, when in one-on-one with a Goalkeeper, fake shots work really well and leave the keeper stranded if performed at the right time.
