Basically when i attack on this game i cant seem to get passed the defenders, im currently playing on 4 * and had some good success on the previous 3. On this particular level i cant seem to hit my counter attack on the opposing team right (liverpool were a nightmare to get passed). Anyway just wpmdering people can give me any tips on how to destroy these attacking problems once and for all :)

I play counter-attacking football in PES3 myself, and it's my best strength.

I use a 3-4-3 formation, but the key to the success of counter-attacks are the three strikers. A target man who has good technique, decent passing, and is fairly good in the air, and the two wide strikers (in WF positions) should be pretty quick, good at dribbling, and have good awareness-type attributes.

Often, when you intercept, they will hover wide around half-way, and they're not normally picked up the defenders. You've then got two options: hit it over the top for a Thierry Henry-type player to chase, or (if a viable option) thread it through for them to latch on to, or, alternatively, you play up to your main central striker, either in the air, or on the ground, who then releases to either wing, with a nice little 'round the corner' pass, with his back to goal. Works for me. :)

There are now more than enough threads asking for help with attacking. Any future ones will be closed. Cheers.

I mean if they all used the system I described above, they wouldn't need to ask for help. Therefore, problem of too many threads solved.

It's the 3-up-front-with-two-wide-strikers approach, providing you an outlet straight from defence, allowing to turn defence into attack quickly.

Maybe the whole "play the wing strikers" was a bit ambiguous. In a really homosexual way. Or a gangsta' way. Meh.
