Are you sure? Konami är pretty much the largest games company in the world. EA are big, along with Namco and Squaresoft. Codemasters are only an average sized UK based developer, not even in the same league

To fix all of the Brazil and Holland players, go to edit face and it is on within three moves either to the left or the right.
You may be shocked to see how much better Ruud and Ronaldo and Carlos will look!

Thanks for clearing this up! I'd spent a lot of time editing them and couldn't figure out why the hell the programmers would spend that much time getting faces right and then not using them. Sounded crazy! Still doesn't explain why in PES1 they made the animation for Beck's free kick (didn't look quite as good as in PES2) and still didn't assign it to him. Always puzzled me...

You mean the D one I think, which they didn't really assign to anyone. Just an option for creating or editing I suppose.
E is really Beckham.
D just looks more lifelike than A or B which look like a child is kicking it.
