Nothing is more frustrating than when you're up 1-0 against an incredibly tough team, hanging on to your lead through opponent's pressure when the all of a sudden your defender comes in a slide tackles in the box. Penalty and goodbye lead.


Same thing when you're playing the computer. Whenever my players are running alongside the CPU's defenders and they're breaking loose, the computer will slide tackle 100% of the time. 100% OF THE TIME! It's ridiculous how many times it has injured my players and got away without even a booking.

One of the games, I had 5 players injured and the computer had 3 yellow cards. This cheap way of defending has to go. I really want to buy PES 2010 but I wont if these kinds of things dont change.

In PES 2010, the defenders should have more stats. If you realize, there are not enough stats for defensive skills! These kinds of things can enable better positional defense rather than fouling.

I agree, it's so frustrating, especially in Master League on Top Player, it's so hard to get a good result, and often you rely on luck getting you a goal, then getting unlucky and the AI does soemthing crap.

Regarding sliding tackles, I would like some sliding tackle compensation when you press to slide to tackle before a player passes, only for it to switch players and make that guy slide. It's even worse when you tackle a player without the ball because of this, it's almost an automatic red card every time.

About your second point, that's why I switched to semi-assisted. Defense feels much better. It doesn't switch players on denfense unless you switch yourself. On offense, it's the same. This way, you can take your defender and guard the player in the box while the computer is defending on the wing. Try it out!

Yeh I agree, I get so fustrated!! It definitely has to go! That's why I think Pro2010 won't be as good as it is sounding to be! There too many mistakes in Pro2009 for them to be able to dramatically overhaul the next installment!

BTW, the auto sliding is really bad. I truly hate it.

Another thing that has to go is, when you have control on the area and your defenders clear the ball by themselves, to wherever the fuck they want, very often ending in a corner kick against you.

The most annoying thing for me is that they always autoslide in the box! It's like they wait until you get in the box and then "oh we are in the box, let me F*CK this shit up"!

I totally agree on the CPU's sliding and defensive clearance tendancies. Both can be very costly and uncalled for in a match. Also the fact that occasionally the player you're actually controlling will slide when :circle: has not even been thought about, let alone pressed. Ive often found this to be when im pressuring a CPU player with :x: as they're getting ready to shoot or are in the box. Another problem with the sliding in general is that i've seen someone get a yellow card for a completely fair challenge like infinite times and then at other times (usually when CPU player tackles me lol) no card at all for a blatant yellow card tackle. I've also had a fouls called against me in the opposition's box just because a defender runs into me as i shoot...WTF! That aint my fault LOL.
All these things really do poison the overall gameplay imo :(

another thing that has pissed me off since pes 2008 is that gay shooting when ur ready for take a blaster and hope it will fly in the top corner they will just do some shitty chip kind of shot that flaots and your like for fucks sake if wanna blast it fucking let me :mad:
