The pause cheats use quite a simple technique, same as was used in Halo 2 when people seemingly teleported. If you have a cable modem, you will no that it has a standby button, if you press this while on LIVE everything freezes. There are other ways they can pause the game due to a bug where pressing the start button repeatedly freezes the game. Apart from the how they do it, the Why they do it is another matter as in my opinion, a win not earned cannot be called a win, these people have no sense of pride or honour, they don't want to better themselves, they're just scum.

You can blatently tell when someone has been using this Pause cheat. It's only when there scoring rate is exactly 3.0 and their conceed rate is 0.0, obviously high wins will come along with it. All of this really grinds on me, I mean why play the game if you're not going to actually play the game ? The so-called number 1 ranked player in the world, Pro Scotsman seems to be blatently cheating. Plays with Scotland every match and just happens to have a goal and conceed ratio of 3:0. Count that with only 2 losses from hundreds, and both those losses eventually came from disconnects, seems like someone couldn't leave on their Xbox as long as their opponent.

i h8 it and honestly cant see the point.so this pro scotsman is number 1,what has he achieved?feck all,and he wont of even enjoyed his rise to the top since he hasnt even played the game.you get a game too play,not to constantly pause.fags

how can you prove that guy has been cheating? hes even in the PES6 manual pictured with John Terry... and if you scroll down the ranking list you'll see he has another profile ... its practically the same name so I know its his xPrOx Scotsman. I think its that...and as of now he has a perfect winning record, so I dunno if hes cheating.. I played a guy ranked 1000odd and he was cheating, a few people near the top use duff teams like NEC and Austria(I heard u can edit Austrias stats and they remain edited online?) so either these people have amazing tactics-or they cheat.

@ Gun_Runner - Where did you that about Austria's stats? That would be pretty stupid if it was true - Unlikely though.

I played a few games last night on ranked mode, I won 2 out of 2, as the 2nd guy quit on me :(.

I read it on another thread that Austria's stats remained edited...then I looked at the overall rankings and surprise a guy in the top 10 uses Austria so it just got me thinking.

Im a Barca man, although if I'm going through a bad patch I tend to change teams a lot, you could see me going Bayern, Arsenal, Atl.Madrid, Valencia, Portugal and my usual National team is Brazil...used to be England until I realized Adriano is invincible.

Was playing a game against someone, cant remember there username, was a weird one.

I was Barca, they were Man Yoo. They went 0-2 up in first half, started getting on his high horse.... 2nd Half whooped them 4-2....He moaned saying i wouldnt be able to beat them with anyone else blah blah blah.... Played as "Teesside". Beat him again....He left....dont think they could take them embarressment any more :lol:

Another one to avoid is Gauros7. I went 2-0 up after 22 minutes and he struck with the pause cheat. It has now been 30 minutes and he still hasn't quit. I'll hang in for a little longer and hopefully this git will eventually give up.

I had this one guy the other night called FRANCE 04, he was Italian, and he done a modem stop, so I sent him a message, and he replied several times in Italian, so I used a translator to see what he was saying and then replied with a bit of Italian myself. In the end, he quit.

I fucking hate Barca/Inter/Brazil whores. A nice thing i like to do if im the host is let the clock run down on all the screens (team select, stadium select, strip select, settings select and formation select, with the time set to long, of course), then finally leave when the loading screen is on. Doesnt count as a loss and you have fun annoying wankers.

I just be crappy teams all the time now, I give up trying to get anywhere on it, you cant go 3 matches without playing a whore of some kind. I just have fun trying to beat them with teams like Watford (i actually beat an Inter whore 6-2 AET with Watford yesterday). I don't see why they do it though, wheres the fun in being the same team over and over and OVER again..?

I'd take you up on that offer Ashen89, but, I can never connect to people while being invited or inviting someone to the game, so I can't play the Player Match Menu Mode.

I've started using many various teams, I always used to be Man Utd, But, recently got on with Arsenal, Valencia, Atl Madrid - not bad teams, but, not as good as Inter/Barca. I always filter it to Club Teams Only, and usually take the pauses off now.

lagged in the first half then the kid quit after conceding a penalty in the second half while i was winning 2-1.
If it wasn't for my piss poor finishing i'd have been 5 or 6-1 up, absolutely dominated him.

It's a bit annoying that when you're ahead like 5 to 1, the fags quit, and you only get a 3 to 0 win.

The other day I was winning 7 to 0, it probably was one of the first times the guy was playing online, and when it was about the 60th minute, he just quit... taking away 4 goals with him.. this is one of the things konami should work for the next game.

If you're winning like 2 to 1, and they quit, a 3 to 0 victory should be granted.. if you're winning like 6 to 1, and they quit, they should give you a 6 to 0 victory.
