big fan of the become a legend mode on PES 2009.
But i was wondering whether anyone has acutally had a player with good stats?!
i must have started up about 20 players in all the positions and none of them have any good stats!
i can play alright with some of them because its more about the human user than the character on the pitch but its just annoying having to play with someone, who in the first season, has got 66 shot, 77 speed and 80 reaction as a striker.
I understand that ive got to wait a few seasons but even then i had a DM who was a CM convert and i played very well with him but still he had shocking stats.

Has anyone got a player with decent stats?!

ps. i play on the highest difficulty, top player i think it is

Your stats will improve, that's the whole point of the game.

I'm a striker in my 7th year of playing (23 years old) and I started out good and have been improving rapidly.

95 attack, 95 shot acc, 89 shot power and very good speed (among alot of other stats, most of them is above 80). I'm lacking of a bit of body balance and my dribbling isn't what I wanted but I'm deadly infront of goal.

^That's awesome.
Also my player is in the 2nd season and he's still much better. He keeps improving until he's a legend and to be a legend you need to have great stats.

see, the strength thing use it, do techniwue more for alot more better stats in some areas than others. i suggest 4, 4 for bothe techniques after like 1st season and the rest 1s till like ur 5 or siz seson, then do speed and stuff if they still need training.

High attacking stats but my dribbling, speed and body balance were absolute shit.

Imagine the old men of english football talking, they'd probably say "The boy can't move but he sure can shoot!" xD

I focused alot of shooting, taking shots in the scout match.

And I've practically Strengthened Technique Shooting consistently for the last 4-5 years. Every now and then I move the other six points between the other strengths.

I don't try to be Messi. With a 95 in Short pass and long pass (Tech. Shooting trains shooting AND passing) I'd rather do smart passes than dribble through the defense.

You can get good dribbling stats, it's all just a matter of what you stick the points on and how many good ratings you can get.

EDIT: These pics are actually a month or so old now, and Steve is a bit better still now. He has 92 technique now, 90 dribble accuracy and 95 shot accuracy from these stats, plus a few other minor improvements.

The big thing though is the nine stars that I rather flukely got!

I started a new BAL a while back, and Ive played for Athletic, Valencia, Barca, Man United, Roma, Juventus, Lyon, Villareal and currently Im at Milan. The year is 2015 and my stats are very balanced right now as I forgot to adjust my strengthen stats in the first few seasons.

Att and Def are 76, Balance is 84, Stamina is 86, Speed/Accel 88/85, Passing is 85/91 92/83, Shooting is 84/77/80, Free Kick 84, Curl 84, Jump/Header 87/83, Tec is 85, Teamwork is 88. I cant remember all my stats but for a midfielder theyre pretty good. I can play anywhere in the midfield, and then I can play as a winger.

The great thing, and main reason I left Villareal for Milan is that because Milan are using me as an AMF which better suits me, instead of being a DMF at Villareal.

Yeah, yeah of course. Right now, I AM putting points into dribbling but I haven't focused anything on it up until now (or awhile back actually).

Dribbling's around 80-85 something right now.

everyone seems to go for the dribbler,

I have gone for the Power House CF and have so much fun watching defenders falling over trying to tackle me:D

95 body balence ftw

That's pretty decent - you must have the stars for dribbling by now then?

I've concentrated solely on kicking and dribbling for roughly 3 seasons now (6 blocks on each) after trying to spread it out as much as possible for the first 4 seasons or so. My major criticism of this mode is that the player starts off too rubbish, and then becomes too good too quickly. At the start on Top Player I'd struggle for a goal every other game. Now it's simply a matter of how many I score - yesterday I scored 6 in a 70 minute appearance (was tired).

I wish that you could improve his condition and weak foot stats too.
