Need some help. Just got traded to North East London and the manager has changed my position. I used to play AMF (easy to get high ratings) I am now playing every game as a CMF with a defensive arrow. I have tried everything to get a rating above a 6.5, but have been unsuccessful. I try to keep back when my team attacks, complete passes, complete tackles, win hearders, but nothing. Keep getting 6.0 or 6.5.

Anyone out there currently playing as a CMF (with a defensive arrow) or as a DMF? Any suggestions? Thanks!

i'm having the same problem, i'm a AMF but Portsmouth are playing me CMF, i can't seem to get rated above 6.5, even in games where we win 1-0 and i have assisted the goal, i posted this earlier on and someone advised me not to stray to the wings and to try long passes so i'm going to try this when i get in from work.

Hi Milan Fan!

For AMF, CMF and DM, it is easy to get higher rates.
Just try to shoot in direction of the goal. It does not matter whether the goalkeeper takes or not. It will increase your rating for sure. I am also AMF and I have signed in for Real Madrid as CMF. My average rating is 7.2 (my player is 22 years old now).

Yes, I play on Top Player. It is much better because your team mates play better as well.

Just try that. You do not need to ask for the ball all the time (with R2). When you make a good game, your team mates will pass the ball naturally for you (without asking in the most of the times). You can use this as a way to know how you are doing in the game. When I notice that they are not passing for me even when I am a very clear and better option, I wait for the best moment, ask for the ball and complete a couple of passes. This raises your rating and your team will "trust" you more. And I always try to shoot in goal. Remember: in direction of the goal. :)

Try that and you will see.

Yeah I play on top player too, AI is still dumb though. I will try to stop pressing r2 continuously, I always ask for the ball. Maybe that will help out. I'll let yoo know how it goes.

Yes, I found out that pressing R2 all the time is not a very good idea.
You must find the way to ask for the ball in the correct moment. I know, for example, if I ask for the ball when I am on the other side of the field, that they will make a long pass which will be easily intercepted.

Observe in which direction your team is playing and go for a better position to receive the ball. THEN ask for it (using R2). You will see that your rating will be much higher afterwards.

good advice Zizou, i didn't realise that whether or not the computer passed to you was dependant on how well you were playing, i'll also try to stop pressing R2 as much! Cheers

it does not matter much in which team you're playing.
It worked even when I was playing for Vitesse (Dutch League) during my first season. :)

Of course the quality of the pass is far better in Real Madrid. :happy:

Try that and you'll see. When you are doing very well, your mates will try to pass to you. Then when you make some mistakes, they start to ignore you.
