BAL player team AI

Have you noticed how effortlessly the opponent plays the ball back and forth on your half, always passing the ball the second one of your players get into tackle range?
And if they don't pass they can dribble 1-2 players before passing the ball and also do decent crosses.

While your team can't dribble, they don't keep the passes going, always waiting till they get tackled, generally having a hard time getting the ball past midfield unless your player helps them and involves heavily in the build up play. Even if you are a striker...
And last but not least, they can not cross the ball if their life depended on it.

It does not seem to matter which team you are playing on, as soon as you join the squad, the other members get downs syndrome and forget 90% of their football skills.

Does player team use a completely different AI than the CPU controlled ones?

Right now on my BAL game, my player is 26 years old and most of my abilities are in the mid 80's - low 90's and I play for Barcelona.
I just switched from Almeria which was my first club, but i got tired of their inability to do sensible stuff with the ball and I had to win most games on my own.
I figured moving to Barcelona would help somewhat, but turns out that as soon as I joined the club, the team is reduced to nitwits that can't play football and I still have to do everything myself.
If I pass the ball they lose it more often than they don't, and they do not do any offensive runs at all.
I'm almost alone on the opposition half trying to keep the ball in possession while i'm waiting for my retarded team mates to catch up but they rarely are...

I experienced the same problem upon moving from Bolton to Spurs. Spurs went from being a Top 4 side who scored goals for fun, to a bottom half side who would scrap out a draw, even though I would play my socks off. Ridiculous to say the least.

The thing that really made me notice this defiency was the defenders inability to string passes along the back sometimes. The CB would have the ball with the other CB and his outside back WIDE WIDE WIDE open and he'd get tackled instead of making an easy pass. This would obviously be followed up by a breakaway and a goal to lose the game. I think a lot of the AI problems would be fixed if they could get the players to make an easy pass here and there.
