1- You should be able to alter the formation of your team or the computer should adjust it according to strength of the players on the team. It’s not real if the team sticks to that formation year after year. You could define a team’s historic style so that the formation that the computer chooses is coherent with that.
2- Why does it rain so much? I would understand it for games in England, but I don’t remember seeing that many games in the rain in Spain. Also the commentators often get mistaken: when it’s raining they say, “conditions are ideal”, and when its clear they say “players should be careful with injuries”.
3- The schedule should be coherent with the times that matches are played in real life. Most of the finals should be played at night. That’s mandatory for Europe.
4- MOST IMPORTANTLY: The game is fun and hard and addictive, but they should make it more real. If you want to be rational, and forget about the fact that a 21-year-old striker could be a star... make it so that your legend doesn’t have to play well in all the games at the beginning. Limit his games but not his points, so he should only play a couple of matches the first year, coming from the bench. Make him practice and decided what points you would like him to improve (you could even play him in matches with the youth team of that club, or international Sub 20 matches). That way by the time his 19 he could play at a decent level. If he plays very good, he’ll become a star soon. If he doesn’t, he can still be a star at 27. If he plays horrible, well then, warn the player and leave him without a team by 25 or 26. That way he could begin again.
