BAL: Too good to stay at your favored club!?!

Did anyone get to the bottom of this?? I read a few posts on the BAL FaQ but nothing seemed to be concluded.

Im in a situation where im at my fav club - Fulham. And i would like to spend my whole career there winning trophies. But i read a few posts of people saying when you get too good, they dont offer you a new contract - probably because they cant afford your wages! Which is pretty unrealistic considering the amount of prizes being won etc.

Is there anyway of getting around this????

i never knew this was possible. I thought you only dont get new contracts is when u play badly like what i experienced when i went to villareal.

No, I played awesome for Chelsea (top scorer, 7.3+ rating, won them titles, etc.) for 2 seasons and all of a sudden they tell me they aren't renewing. I was HORRIBLY bent out of shape.

Do you skip matches? I've heard that skipping matches can result in contracts not being renewed. I've never skipped a match and my contract has always been renewed.

it hasn't happened to me yet. Thats why i started the thread, i wanted to know how to avoid it.

At the mo, i only skip 3-4 matches a season. Im only in my second season, but Iam top scorer for the club.

Basically i want to know how to avoid being offloaded if your too good!?!?!? - which is what some people have been talking about in the FAQ.

The terams I like are all big teams so I can't realy answer but yeah I guess that they don't have enough money to pay you. But you should be able to do that. I know you can't though.

I only skipped one or two matches purposefully because my stam was starting at half a bar in the beginning of every match and I was running like I was stuck in the mud.

I was cut from ManU even though I was the best, but I was injured (injury A) for about a 1/3rd of the season. I kept getting tackled right outside the box on break-aways. I wonder if that has anything to do with it as well.

I signed for United at the age of 24 in the Winter Window. I won the treble. Top scorer in all competitions. No new contract in the summer.
