5 minutes before the end of my match the opposing team hit a shot wide of my goal that went behind the goal into the area in front of the stands (can't remember which stadium). Even though the ball had clearly gone out for a goal kick (like 20 ft over the line) the clock kept ticking and many players gathered on the corner line trying in vain to reach it. The game went into extra time and even though the other player and I tried pausing it (not able to but pause counter came on) it then would not end! After about 10 mins he got bored and exited the match and thereby forefitting the game. Has anyone else had this? Very weird!

i got it on 08 online ,it did exactly the same but after a few times it did it ,instead of one of us having to go offline and forfeit it then started knocking me offline and giving the game to my opponent even if i was winning
i checked everything wired internet connection ,cleaned disc ,only played ppl from my country ,and it still did it ,then i wrote to konami they told me to change my port settings in the game from auto to something i cant remember ,but i never tried it as the problem dissapeared altho after a few weeks it seemed to stop doing it but was never fully eradicated in the end of my 1600 games online ,100 were crashes like this
but 70 were in a 3 week period

Hmm, that's weird too Dicky_t! was it recently that you experienced this and have you suffered it recently? It was about a month ago it happened to me. I've only played half a dozen online games since and its not happened again. I must admit tho, I always choose stadium 1 now to try to limit the potential of the stadium lay out to be causing it. If I get it again I'll contact Konami and see what they say. It was so strange tho cos it turned into a battle of wills and a test of who would quit first!

i had a strange thing like this. i cant remember how, but for some reason lampard left the the field and ran towards the signs behind the goal. when he tried to come back he got stuck in the net and coudn't come back to the field until the game stopped... this ket on for about 15 minutes of the game...
i had something similar happen on pes 6 and the guy was giving me dogs abuse because i wouldn't dissconnect i was on my best ever 30 odd match win streak no freaking way i was gonna quit ,i went to bed and left it on even left a note out for the girlfriend warning her not to switch it off anyway 2 days (i kid you not) later he eventually quit
and i bombarded him with message after message revelling in the glory of out lasting him
then i lost my win streak in the very next match

you know when a player runs full speed to header a cross, but he misses it and crashes into the net? so its the same thing but instead of crashing into the net, he went too far out and when he returned he just douldnt go through the net... it stopped when the game was renewed (like when you have a goal kick, corner kick, foul...).
and for franks speed- he is kind of slow but nothing compared to deco... thats the only reason i dont play him.
Jeez Eddy, 2 days! fair play to you. U must have bin gutted to lose the next one tho. It's a shame that if this glitch was around for PES 6 that they haven't resolved it by now.
Alon, thta's interesting - with me it was just the ball stuck in perpetual motion, bouncing all over the place behind the goal - not just on one plane. Was it PES 2009 you experienced this?

one other glitch that i always suffer from and it was the same on pes 2008
is sometimes when i do the side step dribble and hit some buttons my player stops dead won't move at all even with play going on around him until the ball goes out or i pass to him

no that was in PES08 ,around may/june time ,personally i think the problem was down to a poor router ,with a low speed internet connection at the time my internet speed was only 2meg ,so i think the game crashing was just a build up of lag ,but since ive changed my router and moved onto a high speed line 8meg ive had no problem with it

Amusingly I had exactly the same thing happen on PES08 - ball in the goal after I score (to go 3-0 up) and everyone just stands around looking at it with the screen darkened down a bit. I was on a massive run of wins too and was at about 820pp - no way I was losing 30+ points to someone with an awful connection!
I kept the game running for 18 hours like you! Fortunately my brother has a PS3 too (with a seperate copy of the game) so we just played against each other till we saw that he had quit! We unplugged the PS3 running from the TV and connected up my bro's seperately, switching from time to time to see if he had left!
Hilarious times man.
As for the "problem", it's just online Pro. This is about the worst thing I saw though.
