You can buy them in many shops or online. Check out Argos or Dixons, Curreys etc and look for blank DVD-R. Just try to find out what the minimum writing speed is and get the ones that have a min speed of 2x or 4x but faster than that isn't recommended. By the way, is your PS2 chipped or modded?

Yes. There is a ripkit that allows you to rip a patched image so it fits onto a CD. There is a thread for it, find it using the Search button and enter "ripkit".

but I have been unable to make a working cdrip of PES5 - patched or unpatched :( and there is little help available. If you figure it out then you'll be a king :cool:

i dont have a DVD-RW thing on my pc does that mean there is no way i can patch the game on my xbox?

This is a guide to patching the PS2 version. Xbox is different. Look for a thread with a patching guide for the xbox version.

I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT!!!!!!!!!!
can you just give me a total idiots guide (in total idiots english) to how to:
a) make an image (WTF is an image for one?)
b) patch my ps2 version of PES 5
c) play it. (I have an unmodded normal ps2 ie un-fliptop)
d) how much does modding cost and how do I do it. I am 14 and do not know wtf an image, a ISO, or anything else like that is.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

Maybe you shouldn't try it until you have learnt how to read English and how to follow basic instructions.

Try reading all of the first post a few times. If you still don't have a clue then press Alt+F4.

I'm trying ppf-o-matic,patched the disc burned atx1 on dvd-r but get invalid ps2 disc on the swap magic screen. Also tried dkz but can't rearrange the files in cd gen tried a filelist program but the cd gen just gives me error messages any ideas ta.

If you've done everything correct then it could be the burning speed. Does your DVD-R allow burning at 1x? Maybe it can only handle 2x or 4x as the minimum. Try a new disk, use 4x and see what happens.
