Basic Guide to Patching WE8:LE & PES4 for PS2 (DVD only)

Just because ppf-o-matic says that the patch is applied doesnt mean that you patched a clean image. And I find its better to use Alcohol 120% to burn.

Then can you tell me how to use alcohol to burn it? why is alcohol better than nero may i ask? also could u plz answer my questions at the bottom of the previous page? thanks!

Do i burn the iso file or the mds file? if i am using a 4x dvd-r then is that the speed i will have to burn it at? Plz answer?

Mate, try to understand that you are wasting your time and your disks. It won't work.
Buy the original and patch that.

Read the guide and see that it says to burn the ISO file.

Yeah u must be right! I burned the iso file there now using alcohol and it burnt in 11 mins with no problems but when i inserted it into my ps2 the disc wasn't recognised! I don't understand though because it aint a patched disc just a pirated one! I am really annoyed now! I think i may have wasted my money chipping my ps2!

God knows what is on your disk. How am I supposed to know what is on it? Ask whoever you got it from.

did i need to use a ripkit or anything? Can clonyxxl or any other software be used to extract an iso? for some reason my dvd decrypter program says beside it in brackets 'remove only'. would that have any effect on why i cant get the patch working?

Zyg I am going to buy the official version of WE8:LE from ebay but would u take a look at this link to see if this sounds legitamate? I was curious about it because it says "please note game is fully english!" so i wondered how it could be brand new but in english?

If he means that the text is in english, then it is patched (and so you will not be able to patch it). Ask him what exactly is in english.

If it is the original game disc then if i follow the exact same process that i previously used should it work this time do you think because i dont wanna waste money on the original game if it isn't necessary! Also are you sure that the mds file doesn't have to be burnt aswel?

I have not made any patches. I only post info about patches and option files made by others. Check the thread to see who made which patch.
No, I don't know when reefur will release 1.0. Be patient and keep checking that thread.

yo how do u do all this for xbox? is it different? I would really appreciate it if someone could post a basic guide for patching for the xbox. im completely friggin clueless- thanx

I've never patched the game for xbox. I assume there would be a guide that comes with the patches for the xbox version. Or maybe someone who has patched it on xbox can post something.
