Have you sorted this yet? We need to find out which other files to import back in (and probably better to discuss this in the thread for the ripkit too).sjaf said:I think it doesn't work with only extract and import the J_TEXT.AFS file and the O_TEXT.AFS file. Because I want everything of this patch, not only the text. Also the sound etc.
Buy the game and use the ripkit thread to make a patched rip. Until then you get nothing.roadie said:hi can anyone help me please?im a newbie!!
i want to patch winning eleven 9 but its the japanese version (dvd rip on cd-r) is it possible to get a translation in2 english?
please please someone help me and explain how to patch!
People are always asking this. If it was possible to translate the game using just a memory card then why wouldn't we all be doing that instead? No; the memory card only stores the team/player data. If you want the menus to be translated then you have to patch the game and burn the patched image. The menus are stored on the disk itself and not on the memory card.ManchesterU said:was there not a patch that i write can wirte on a dvd, transfer to memory that will patch and translate the game for me, or am i asking for too much from winning eleven 9?

ecureuil said:Well, DVD+RW will definitely work. I'm using a patched DVD+RW of WE9 on my chipped satin silver v9 PS2 right now, and it works perfectly. I don't even know if PS2's can read DVD-RW's.
There should be details in the thread for the commentary patch.roadie said:hi mate do u know how to patch commentaries ie asf file?do i use the original dvd without fernandos patch and then apply the patch with ppf and then import the sound file
please help!
You can use the WE9 ripkit thread to rip the game iso so it fits onto CD and then burn that onto a CDR. Max Drive will only help you transfer an updated option file.psuett said:i have winning eleven 9 and the game is in jap, i dont have a dvd burner so is there any other way of updating this with the max drive
please help i have read through this thread but found no help
You need to download and transfer an updated option file to your memory card. This will fix all of this. The WEMERICA option file is quite updated and comes in various formats. You can either use a max drive or an x-port to transfer it to your mem card or you can burn it to CDR using the CD2mem method on the bin+cue version.sico said:I patched the game using the fernando patch and it changed all the menus and option screens.
1) the patch does not change the player names?
2) the Team names have been changed to english?
The only thing the patch did not change is the player names.
Can someone please explain in details what to do?
I know alot of people already know how to change it, but I'm new to patching iand I appreciate the help?
