Basic Patching Guide for WE9 [PS2]

What is the WE9 ISO file size supposed to be? I got my copy today and I'm not sure if I did the decryption right. I patched it, re-burned it, and it only loads up to just after the addidas logo then goes blank :\

The .iso is the image file that makes it ready to burb straight onto a disc.

Can i burn this onto a dvd-rw? I have a satin silver v9 PS2!

Nope, only DVD-R's and sometimes DVD+R's work on PS2's.

Zygalski if I`ve dowloaded the patch I can`t open it so how can I open it? Where i must save the file please answer those questions.

You don't need to open the patch, unless you mean it's still .zip. If so, just extract it, or if its .rar, you need to install WinRar.

Well, DVD+RW will definitely work. I'm using a patched DVD+RW of WE9 on my chipped satin silver v9 PS2 right now, and it works perfectly. I don't even know if PS2's can read DVD-RW's.

Mine ONLY reads DVD-R and RW's! it all depends on the model.

I have a v6 ps2, patched and burned the .iso but its not even loading, it may be the DVDs im not sure yet.

Make sure you are patching a clean ISO from your original. If you re-patch a pre-patched image it will not work.

As has been answered before - You use the CD2mem method.

Thanks for the help guys, i followed everything and i really sure that i did right, but for some reason when the disc load in my ps2 nothing shows up on the screen.

The ps2 recognises the dvd but it doesnt start the game up, it just freezes on a black screen.

Any suggestions to what im doing wrong?

I saw a patch that made the kits exactly the same, not like the 1s u make in edit mode, they were all perfect, it was a patch not an option file im sure of it, this was for pes 4, any idea if a patch will be out that can do this to we 9.

Can someone help me to figure out why my patch dvd load so slow.It'll take around 5mins to reach the game menu.Is there something wrong with my burning software.i'm using nero and burn it at the lowest speed..pls guide.thanks

My Dvd decrypter does not appear to be doing anything. When I insert the original WE9 disk in my PC, it just says "No readers detected" and I cannot get anything to happen when I press the Decrypt button. What could the problem be?

Your pic is not showing on my pc... but programs like real and windows player(s) detect the D: drive ok...

D'oh. Just worked it out. Damn pc does not have a DVD reader/writer... only CDs. Guess it is not possible now without one... how much do they cost?
